JWP red against Chelsea last season was tamer than that.

That looks a red.

Definitely looking vulnrable on our left side.

Adam Armstrong will be totally isolated unless Aribo is a second striker.

What I'd like to see (assuming we're playing 3 at the back): --------------------Bazunu-------------------- -------------ABK---Lyanco---Salisu----------- KWP------------JWP---Romeu--------Perraud ------------------------S Armstrong---------- --------------Aribo--------------------------- --------------------Adams------------------- I expect that Djenepo and Bednarek will start start though. I've also got a feeling we're going to be starting yet another season with McCarthy in goal.

They did it during the Villarreal game and two poor lads got bypassed on the first corner.

oops already posted

I'm going to predict yellow socks for colours in the badge 😮

Love that. I wasn't going to buy a shirt this year but might rethink.

He's the only player in our squad that gives me confidence (a JWP direct free-kick aside). Surely we can't afford to lose him given our injuries?

I agree, if we're still without a new striker come the Tottenham game, he's as good an option as any.

I think it could potentially change in-game strategies substantially. 5 subs to 10 outfield players completely changes the character of a team. I could even imagine players being brought on to do a certain task only to be taken off again once it's complete e.g. A penalty, a free-kick (Southgate?), time wastage or professional fouls.

Much better second half. It was like night and day. Djenepo impressed me again as did Aribo and Valery.

How can every pre-season game be this boring?

I actually think that would make the better away kit with the blue one being the training wear.

Eh? I thought that was exactly what he was. Shows what I know!

This thread seems more suited to the Lounge.

Sasa Kalajdzic I hope.

Is this guy reliable?

With our style, which lets face it won't change under Ralph, requires a strong, athletic forward. Adam Armstrong is not it.

Missing piece is the striker.

I think he could have done a job for us this season but the game time he'll get at Stoke will probably be more beneficial.
