She wasn't, and I don't know where she got the info from... Still have the question that our scan point is not at the same place as our collection point though...
-
Maybe the Scan Point is for people wanting to actually order there and then? No mention of the Scan Point in their Stepped Instructions there implies that there might be an additional step for us between 4 and 5.

To be honest without Rodriguez fit (and not throwing Josh Sims in which would be a big and unexpected gamble but I'll continue to bang on about unrealistically for now), we don't have a pacy left sided attacker who can defend and break on the counter as our formation on Saturday hinted we would need to. Bertrand would actually be my preferred option there if it didn't mean we'd have to debut Targett at left back at Anfield. I don't think Ramirez's lack of game time will be a factor though, Isgrove is way too much of a gamble and didn't looked suited to it on Saturday, cutting back too late onto his right.

England's Sturridge and Sterling took Germany's recent Champions League runners-up Borussia Dortmund to bits on the weekend, they were very effective. Taking them out of the situation they will be in against Saints on Sunday and importing them into a completely different team doesn't really work as a comparison. Though as long as they're picking Gerrard, and Glen Johnson at left back we've got a chance.

From "dubious body language reading school", I can confirm that Boruc gave the Northam some applause for singing his name before the start of the second half on Saturday, and he showed all his usual face-slapping intensity in his warm up. I can't see why he'd want to leave, he's got no idea if he's first choice or not, and the only link I've heard was to Bayern, who have just signed Pepe Reina.

His English is better than my Polish.

I *think* the way it'll work is that you'll order on the app and the scan point is to scan the barcode/QR code your order creates in order to give you an on-site receipt to hand to the staff. Asking them to scan it and then serve the order would probably slow things down too much, so the onus is on you to get the confirmation receipt to hand to the server. I've only got a mate's comments to go on re: the "receipt" though. Does beg the question about whether you get charged at point of order or point of confirmation though...

You'll note that I've edited that now because I can see how it could be misconstrued. And well done getting the original quote before I changed it.

No-one says you have to. As long as you order before you scan the order... of course the practicalities of sharing a mobile connection with up to 32000 others might make it a sensible move to do it before you arrive (though as I said, I got 4G in the ground on Saturday, and though it wasn't full there were enough people there that it was probably comparable to a full ground as a stress test). I've edited my original post which might have been misconstrued to read that the something on the Scan Point suggested you order away from the ground. What I meant was that as the scan point is near the entrance, you could order outside and scan as soon as you arrive if you had a problem with your internet connection at the ground (which I did for 3G but haven't so far for 4G). As far as I'm aware, there's no instructions on the scan point - and as there's no St Mary's on the app list and no-one reporting a similar thing elsewhere in the ground it could be a while off yet.

Wonder if there was a meeting scheduled with him before training..?

If you could give us some examples of this happening we could probably find out...

Ok, so on Saturday, just before I took a photo of the new pre-payment point in the Northam, someone walked past me with a new shirt with NUTJOB 67 on the back of it. I tried to explain to the wife, but she wouldn't believe such a thread existed (and you'd think she'd know given how often I'm on here). Anyway, WHO ARE YA? Or is it just a scary coincidence. PS, I was born in 1973, but I'm on page 2465, so if you can flag up when you lesser minions of pagecount are up to speed...

Yes, that was him. They're desperate, it wasn't just Gallagher that took him to bits, it was the entire youth team, including players who haven't even made our Development Side yet. Southampton team: Harry Isted, Tom Leggett ©, Kyle Clinton, Josh Debayo, Matt Targett, Niall Mason, Jake Flannigan, Marcus Barnes (Mark Irvine 72), Jake Hesketh (Isaac Nehemie 77), Josh Sims (Charlie Higgins 77), Sam Gallagher Read more at http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/fa-youth-cup-report-saints-7-0-pompey-1228349.aspx#EdzPLGScD1ZtP8Ai.99

14th and glad of it.
-
It was on Saturday (along with the away end).
-
Depends how long you want to wait I would imagine... I've registered on the off-chance, but I haven't bought myself any food or drink at any non-evening match for years nevertheless.

I had 4G on Saturday, thanks to the ground being half empty and Vodafone only having stretched themselves to cover the area in the past fortnight. The existence of the "scan point" near the entrance implies that you might be expected to pre-order away from the ground; someone told me that a receipt is printed from the "Scan Point" and you take it to the collection point. This somewhat undermines the portability benefits of app-based technology, but might be a useful safeguard against fraud, so I have no doubt that's the way we'd choose to do it.

Weird slow-posting duplicate, see below...
-
I note that the ordering process on the app has "Order, Event, Seat", thinking that at St Mary's we won't be getting the benefit of seat delivery!
-
Having quickly checked the google Play store, I've downloaded the Qjacker app to see what's on the list - at the moment they're only listing Qjacker Arena (?!?!?), Croke Park, Ricoh Arena, LG Arena, Old Trafford, Etihad Stadium, NEC, and Harlequins. So nothing for St Mary's... yet.

I'm such a loser...

Don't know if its been mentioned on here yet - did anyone else spot these bright orange things on Saturday? I saw some new technology in the Northam. Looks like we're going to be able to upload food/drink choices from an app to a scanning point and then collect from (at least in the Northam) a specific collection point (nearest till to the exit behind block 41). I assume this means online payment, reducing the amount of time spent faffing about with cash, but it also might mean online PRE-payment and needing to charge up your account with some credit - and it's definitely going to mean queueing twice, once to beep the order at the scanner (which is on the outside of the toilet wall in the Northam), and another queue to actually collect your stuff. Though at first I'd be surprised if many people took up the option, so I would think the queues are short, they're going to be massively underprepared if people start hopping onto 4G to download the app and piling out of the beer queue onto the pre-order queue at half-times.... ...so, good idea or bad?
-
They've always done that, I believe. Didn't see any in front of the Northam, but then we spent some of half time discussing whether the Kingsland food carts were only for them because the concourse outlets were closed because they weren't planning to staff it or if they just had long queues anyway so they were additional, so it's not like I was exactly focused on it.

At this point I think it's worth saying that both "Spurs offered us £10m" and "Spurs have issued an ultimatum" both seem to be purely fabricated by people misreading other posts on this thread, unless anyone can point to anything external stating otherwise. "Spurs offered us £10m" comes from misreading a post on the first page which said "Spurs offered us £10m plus 2 players we didn't want" and the ultimatum thing seems to have come from someone misunderstanding that Koeman said that 'we gave Schneiderlin until Monday to get his head right as he's not leaving' in his press conference on Friday.

This game will look like us up at Arsenal in the season we came up. I don't usually do score predictions, but a proper 4-goal thrashing is on the cards. Lovren will score twice from corners just to really irritate me. FWIW I can't see us dropping Boruc and it makes far more sense to give him the chance to play for his place than just dump him, and I can't see us NOT starting with Taider, so I'll say: --------------------Boruc----------------------- Clyne--Fonte--GodIHopeWeSignALCB--Bertrand ---------------------(aka Yoshida)-------------- ------------------Wanyama--------------------- ---------S Davis --------------Taider----------- Tadic------------------------------------Ramirez ---------------------Pelle------------------------- Subs: Forster, Hooiveld, Cork, Isgrove, Reed, McQueen, Mayuka FFS. Have I forgotten anyone? I bloody hope so. Don't even ask me what's going on with Schneiderlin in this picture.
