  1. In that case, boo to Wanyama not being suspended for any qualifiers...
  2. Pretty sure he learned the kind of players you have to sign to make yourself a chunk of cash LONG ago.
  3. I think Caulker is hugely overrated, but probably has potential to be better than Hooiveld or Yoshida so would be a decent enough signing if we keep Lovren and Fonte.
  4. Our entire style under Pochettino suited Lambert, press high up, win the ball near the opposing goal, hardly any running required - he profited hugely at first, THEN he lost the ability to be in the right place and any remaining sharpness, and had to drop deeper which was why he scored fewer and Rodriguez who was running beyond him scored more. Can't imagine for a second he'd be suited to a 4-3-3 where central creativity will be required.
  5. Good news for Saints, he probably won't be off travelling in the next international break. http://www.capitalfm.co.ke/sports/2014/07/15/wanyama-sent-off-as-stars-draw-blanks/ Apologies if posted already, I searched and everything...
  6. I would imagine that would be because you can't actually use it until the middle of August, and they can deactivate the card remotely at any time.
  7. Realistically I think we should be looking between 1st and 20th.
  8. ...without near-as-dammit guaranteed replacements in place, anyway.
  9. Great signing if you like basing your assessment of a player on 3 matches in a World Cup rather than hours of footage of numerous league matches, I'd suspect. From the 3 matches of him I've seen, he looks like he'd be a decent mobile target man. Though from the hours of footage of various lesser-known south american talents I'd be worried he wasn't going to integrate well, or quickly. For every De La Cruz there's a Delgado.
  10. You don't seem to have noticed that it hasn't been called the Premiership for about 8 years though, which would also solve your "stewardship" problem.
  11. Even though he's 6ft 2.
  12. If someone decided to fork out to empty Sportsdirect of their remaining 2013/14 Skate shirt stock, they'd probably be contributing more to the club than any of the "voluntary contributors" did last summer (there are a LOT of remaining shirts), and at least they'd have a tangible product for it. I don't want to give them any ideas, but coming soon to skatesfc.co.uk: "We have hidden a quantity of last season's shirts all over Hampshire - tweet a picture of yourself with one and we'll enter you into a draw where 1 person will win a new shirt". The site then tweets endless pictures of the inside of SportsDirects as clues to where to find the "hidden" shirts, at £9.59 each, and after a few weeks insists the tweets also include proof of purchase, which has been hidden in the T&Cs all along. They sell last year's kit to idiots at £9.59 a pop (or put the price back up), and having forgotten to do the prize draw for the winner, then scam the rest of them £40 for the 2014/15 version - which if they're lucky, they can buy right alongside their "potentially competition winning" purchase in the store. Obviously they'll also try and make out they've hidden one in the wall at Staplewood and under the pitch at St Mary's, but that won't end well.
  13. Hmm, bit of a sod when you consider buying a ticket to a Brighton match usually gets you free rail travel to and from the match from anywhere east of Littlehampton and with "pay on the day" you'll also have to pay for the train out to Falmer.
  14. Well, the Mirror have certainly misinterpreted the plot - he's not looking at the picture of the GIRL, he's looking at the picture of the SHIRT. Though that does beg the question about the rose... especially as the shirt's already got one.
  15. Away end is very similar, albeit with the sloping bit to the one massive silly uphill stand on the other side.
  16. It was "fully funded". But that was only to actually buy the club, and by the HNW individuals who now have 100% of the decision-making power and have put in at least 75% of the investment cash. The "low net worth" Skates haven't actually funded anything beyond last summer.
  17. Away fans had low expectations at Brighton after Withdean, they didn't want to blow anyone's minds, so they just relocated the Withdean stand 100 yards nearer the pitch.
  18. Yes, and to help, it's the bit between his hair and his chin.
  19. Unfortunately it was more of at insult "of" him than actually "to" him. Good to see his beard remaining at Saints though.
  20. You'll learn.
  21. My point is that you need to have even a shred of it in the first place.
  22. It's ART, what are we going to do, undermine his credibility?
  23. In other news, I tried to type "beardy" in a text as part of an insult to Lallana yesterday, and my phone suggested "Bearsy". This worried me.
  24. Or alternatively, when ART posts anything, completely ignore the utter madness. That is what I would do if I was The9, and I am, so I do.
