Why does gaston only ever play 70 minutes I here you say?
The9 replied to Wrensup's topic in The Saints
I only suggested it's dodgy ground because obviously a claim like this could affect the player's reputation and future career, and equally as the claim is medically based it would be very easy to prove or disprove in court. And let's face it, he's going to know about it if it IS true, so... -

I'm pretty sure this is libellous. -
Born in 1979, signed for West Brom (the first time) 7 years ago when he was apparently already 26ish.
-
I believe he has Saganowskitis.
-
Thought Fortune would be a decent looking signing when we were getting into the Championship but not so much now...
-
Surely all the people who tweeted the club are the ones who helped get a decent outcome ?
-
Patrick Colleter for me please !
-
Trouble with Gera, he's now 34 and had a season-ending injury in January, would you take a punt on a 34 yo who might have a career-ending injury and already has no sell-on value ? In his favour, West Brom's form dropped off when he got injured, they won 56% of matches with him and only 23% without.

This had better be worth it, I'm getting up earlier tomorrow than I have all week ! -
Like the rest of us who got 9.

I would probably have to be restrained if I saw him in the street, purely for his attempted "tackle" in a 70-30 at Norwich in 2004/5. FWIW I thought Ostlund was ok, though Damien Duff humiliated him in an international just around the time we signed him. They were both better than Lloyd James, as was Jermaine Wright. Delap at right back in comparison to that lot looked world class.

I thought Baird was a rubbish right back after his initial impact, until one season in the Championship it just clicked for him, he stopped just chipping the ball up the line to the opposing left midfielder and started picking a pass inside, his defending improved no end and he started reading the opponent better, (I wonder if it had anything to do with Dodd returning, though I have no evidence for that) and then shortly after that we moved him to CB and sold him a year later.
-
I don't think he scores much, more Ormeroddish in style, and Kone was ahead of him but I'm only basing it on 45 minutes at the DW, so who knows what he was doing for the other (37*90)+45 minutes of the season. He stands out as not being overpriced or definitely past it from that list though.
-
He must have massive wages, fits my cat 3. Figueroa not being on the original list supports my argument that the OP should have listed everyone, or no-one.
-
The best bit of course being that Adkins was absolutely right that they couldn't keep up with us in the long run.
-
He's 36 and almost certainly going to join Moyes at his old club as a coach though.
-
I think you should include anyone with a Prem appearance last season and let us debate their merits.
-
Had it not been for the need to add brackets to my original post I would have made that joke too !

Yet ANOTHER red and white adidas shirt, this time Swindon's on the far right (another teamwear template and the first one in this style I've seen):
-
Man U GK shirts, bit different :

Wow, that's got nothing to do with Saints - in fact we're on of the ones with a relatively low proportion of wages to turnover, one of the reasons Cortese voted against FFP was because he believed clubs should be responsible for their own wage management. Admittedly it would also restrict a club spending shedloads of cash to leapfrog into the top 6, but surely that's coincidence..?

Franco di Santo is only 24, and he put in a hell of a shift chasing stuff down in the first half up at Wigan when they out-pressed us, and seemed ideally suited to our style. Problem is he's not much of a goalscorer to add to that specific skill, but he might be worth a look, could even work in a Steven Davis type role but probably needs a scorer alongside him. The rest of them either don't suit our style, would be way too expensive for what we'd get, or we'd run the risk of paying for an old crock.
-
I think it looks fine in itself and it's the shirt design itself which is the problem.
-
I think the majority of current Nike kits are terribly dull, with about 90% based on a plain colour with contrast sleeves and no colour contrast other than that, all using the same basic template, and their laziness in also rolling out 4 year old teamwear designs for professional clubs is completely ridiculous.

My black kit (another one I didn't buy until they reduced it) is the only one which is notably in worse condition than when I bought it, thanks to SOMEONE tumble drying it... it now has some "perma-creases" in it and looks awful. I liked the overall look of that kit, but the shirt itself looked like a crappy training top and really needed something on the front of it, even if it was just a hoop or something.
