Under an hour ! Hey, break your nose, buy this shirt ! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261097032145?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649#ht_500wt_1203

TV Fixtures - Next batch (December onwards)?
The9 replied to saints_is_the_south's topic in The Saints
I'd wait if I was you, we have to be on the box at least 10 times and most weekends at least 4 of the 10 matches get moved. -
I absolutely hated Sensi on the MegaDrive, but I found it completely unplayable with any kind of + pad joypad to be honest. Much easier for me on the Xbox controller due to the analogue joystick things being much more like a joystick than the 4-way button Megadrive controller. Anyway, everyone bangs on about Sensi, I thought it was hugely overrated even on the Amiga to be honest, much better playing it as a non-playing pseudo management sim using SWOS and jumping clubs around Europe all the time. Never did manage Hearts of Oak in Ghana though.

See, now I could not get on with Goal! It just zoomed in and out all the wrong times etc. Glitchy too.

Billy Sharp - Joins Notts Forest on Season Long Loan
The9 replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
Sounds accurate. We've got a band and an LJS Foundation t-shirt, all via the Dead Legacy website and/or Billy/Jade on twitter. Was nice to see Lallana and Fox on SoccerAM with the bands last week as well. They've just launched a girls' vest in the same design as the t-shirt as well, in case any of you lot are Billy Sharp supporting vest wearing girls... -
I like the use of "no-one can better that" in association with two second placed finishes. Great logic. Ok, let me amend my original statement to "no-one can say... without looking like a maths plank".
-
I agree with that.
-
Has Adkins done a better job than Pardew would have ? No-one can say. If we'd won both divisions and our first 4 matches of this one, then there wouldn't be much room for argument. One JPT v 2 promotions is all well and good, but there's no way of knowing what would have happened with Pardew still in place. He's still currently higher up the League than Saints are.
-
Would it be better or worse if she'd been photographed in one of these ? : http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/iwayellow/m.html?hash=item3cca9843ca&item=261097014218&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&rt=nc&_trksid=p4340.l2562

Badly !
-
Except Liverpool (and Sunderland who have a lot of white in their shirt), every other "red" team has white shorts.
-
I pointed this out a few weeks ago, unless we wear it at Everton and clash or change the white shorts, which is daft anyway as the home shirt doesn't clash there, the first match we'll legitimately wear the white kit will probably be in December at Anfield. Which is also the ONLY time I can see when the white won't clash but the red will. So the all white kit will only be required once this season, even though they have to use it 8 times. Anyway, if anyone wants to buy a yellow Saints shirt I'm flogging a couple on eBay, 4 shirts which finish today, would be happy to deliver to someone at the Emirates tomorrow ! : http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/iwayellow/m.html?hash=item3cca9843ca&item=261097014218&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&rt=nc&_trksid=p4340.l2562

They've never explicitly stated it (as usual), but the implication on the points system message when they said "ST holders can buy additional tickets alongside others for Man U and Wigan" was that you couldn't get more than the number of points available for that match on one customer number - any additional points would go on the account of the person you were buying for, or just wouldn't be allocated. Basically because one customer can only go to the match once. They also sold tickets to ST holders for Wigan/Man U before Arsenal was on sale, but the top priority was the max number of points for priority for Arsenal was the exact amount you could get for 1 ticket to each game, and not more than that. They didn't say "minimum of 40 points" (or whatever amount it was), they said "anyone with 40 points" implying you couldn't have more than that. If you're spreading them over 3 STs, then you'll have the points over the 3 STs, but I don't expect you'll get more than the 10/15/20 points you get per match for being an ST holder anyway (so you'd only actually ADD above your normal ST points with aways or home cup games), and you won't have more than one attendance for any game on any customer number no matter how many tickets you buy. It seems to suggest to me that attending away games (and other non-ST home games like Sheff Wed) are the only way to rise above the "standard" ST holder points. All the other points would have to go on other non-ST accounts or would be lost. Of course if they actually showed people how many points they had on the bloody system somewhere we could actually confirm this.

I think (THINK) that I may have worked out how to link to all of my shirts in one go : http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/iwayellow/m.html?hash=item3cca9843ca&item=261097014218&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&rt=nc&_trksid=p4340.l2562 Let me know if it works - FOUR of those shirts are ending today, with another 5 ending on Sunday. Terrible planning, I need beer money for Arsenal away ! Some are still only £4.99 plus P&P ! Worth mentioning that the short sleeved blue shirt still has the plastic tag-holder on it (tag itself is gone though) and has never been worn ? All (except the small yellow Sanderson one) are in excellent condition, mostly having been living in a box in the house/flat/garage for the past 7 years.

I happen to completely disagree with all but the last part of your final sentence.
-
I would be massively annoyed, just like I was when Pardew got the boot...
-
Gosh, they look like a pair of breasts, who'd have thought it. If it's not Pippa's ar5e, I'm not interested.
-
I don't even understand what the index thing is or was, but then I only got an A (there weren't any A* back then) in GCSE maths and chose to do PE instead of Additional Maths so I couldn't do the A Level. Btw I am 39 and 3/4 (clinging on to my 30s) and was taught BODMAS in junior school, so that would have been around 1980-ish.
-
Reads rest of thread... Nice to see we've gone all Monty Hall in the meantime.
-
Haven't read the rest of the thread sooooo. BODMAS. There are no brackets, so... Division first 2/2 = 1 leaving 6-1*0+1 Multiplication next 1*0 = 0 leaving 6-0+1 then Addition 0+1 = 1 leaving 6-1 then subtraction = 5 That's my thinking anyway, though I could never remember what the "O" bit was in BODMAS, and it's not in that anyway...

That's a pretty random rant ! I agree with OldNick that there were probably police who saved lives and similar heroic acts - but the problem is that for at least 35 minutes after the gate was opened, the majority were treating the fans in the Leppings Lane end as potential criminals. Placing a cordon across the halfway line to stop "fighting" which wasn't happening anywhere, and preventing the ambulances getting onto the pitch for the same reason were far more destructive techniques than any few heroic acts could compensate for. Speaking of compensation, money for someone's life is always distasteful, but I think the compensation payments that have long since been paid out to the traumatised police officers are especially distasteful when compared to the insulting offers to the bereaved families. Both police and victims deserve the appropriate remedial action.

Until the middle classes got into football thanks to all seaters and Gazza's tears at Italia 90 there was no political capital whatsoever in supporting a demonised section of society. The only lefties questioning it at all were WSC, and to most people reading their stuff at the time it just was more of the same from a drum they were beating on a regular basis about the treatment of fans (alcohol bans, ID cards, electric fences, police tactics, etc).

Having lived and worked in Southport (Lancs, thanks ) in 1999 and went out with a scouse bird for a couple of years in the early 2000s, I know what you mean, but then that place has plenty of wannabe scousers as well as legit sandgrounders. I'm not entirely sure the reflex of your point is true, as it suggests people outside the area would regard St Helens and Widnes (and Runcorn, where I have also had the delight of the expressways near the ex's mum's house) as "Liverpool", that's not something I've really noticed. I did use Merseyside as a synonym for Liverpool though admittedly, but that was just to mix the proper noun up a bit.

The missus has a Peugeot 206 with standard Blaupunkt stereo in it, had to replace the battery a while back, radio display backlight had gone, didn't know the 4 character unlock code anyway, end result, one locked radio and car silence. Anyone know anywhere where I can get an unlock code, and what info is required from the car ? Please don't tell me to take it to a dealer, they want £50 to have the car from us for a day and type a number into a computer, the robbing gets ! And trust me, I've phoned around.

He's been doing well, let's hope he stays injury free and at Saints.
