Which would be nice if the online system was actually working at the moment, but it's not allowing a lot of people to log in OR refresh their password, etc. That does clear up the minor ambiguity about loyalty points and confirms that the maximum number of loyalty points available for one person for one match will be 10/15/20 depending on the category.

Just for the record, went into the pre-season ticket site and there's a big message saying : PLEASE NOTE: If this is your first purchase via the Club’s new ticketing website then, your Customer Number and login credentials will be provided via a second Purchase Confirmation email. If you have previously used the new site then, in order to make the process as easy as possible, you will not be asked to login on this occasion. There's also nowhere on the pre-season ticket booking form to enter a customer number - so it WON'T be the same system for Man City based on that alone.

I already changed mine from the original though, what you've done is got a replacement password altogether, and there's no logical reason why every single person should have to do that, especially if they'd already changed the default !

I've managed to get into Ajax ticket sales without logging in first, didn't actually buy the ticket but I assume the login was later in the process - they may have just blocked off the ST login to people who already have an ST. Don't quote me on that.

You say that, but I was only going to occasional matches due to mates having STs and buying match tickets they occasionally didn't use between 1998 and 2001 - I think I only actually managed to buy a match ticket maybe once for myself in 3 years ! I got an ST at St Mary's for one season - if I hadn't been able to get into ANY matches at all as opposed to rarely, I'd have just found other things to do with my Saints supporting (eg more non-League matches). Also, there's no comparison between a fanbase that's used to not getting tickets and one that's used to at least 5,000 empty seats at most home matches over the past 5 years - not to mention the 7 years' worth of kids who've never not been able to get tickets before - it's very difficult to predict what they'll do, but if they haven't been coming for the last few years it won't take much for them to not come again.

It's not so much a matter of opting away from the normal design, most clubs had their own websites before the "template" option came along about 10 years ago. We were quite late defaulting over to it.
