No, you can't be recalled from a season long-loan, only shorter term ones (which is why Joey Barton has gone to Fleetwood on a half-season loan, so they can recall him in October when Fleetwood have played 12 matches much quicker than QPR would have).

The ticketing login system works equally poorly with all browsers in my experience, and again, it's nothing to do with the site redesign. Double-check you're not pasting a space before or after the password though.

It's done that for me, both worked and not worked with a new password, it's entirely arbitrary - I've only ever used one email address on the account and it's always been the same customer number I've entered. It could be that the account is registered to a completely different email address, a mate of mine tested the system yesterday by entering a nonsense email for the new password and the system didn't flag up that it wasn't the email address for that account number...

True, but 10 of those already had a team definitely good enough to not get relegated last season.

It doesn't work is the problem you get with it. You can cut and paste it (checking there are no spaces being pasted) into the password field and it just doesn't work, giving you the same error message as when you tried your previously working password before finding it no longer worked and trying to reset it. Then you can do the same thing with another changed password and it works fine. It's ridiculous, and then if you change your password as directed, THAT doesn't work the next time you try to log in anyway. So you're basically better off just constantly resetting it.

Yeah, and if the first one doesn't work the second one always does. It's got nothing to do with the redesign either, it was doing that with the old-style ticket site years ago, and still doing it earlier this week before the rest of the site was redesigned.

Mills is on loan at Burnley after playing 1/4 of Reading's matches last season, he's a borderline case, and anyway, as another academy product he's irrelevant to the discussion - they don't have any academy players to step up and save them. As for Pekhart, he just doesn't count as a Saints player that season full stop (even though he's playing in the Bundesliga for 1.FC Nuremberg).

Any chance the lower crime and youth offending figures are due to better levels of education, or, say, a higher standard of living and less disenchantment in Sweden and Germany than the UK, rather than anything to do with smacking kids at all ?

Looking at that Saints 2008/9 squad, if you take out BWP and Gobern who have been promoted out of L1 last season, and loanees Cork and Pearce, and remove all of our own academy products who actually turned out to be good - we only fielded TWO players (Kelvin and Schneiderlin) who we paid for and are now playing above the League One level. Without significant investment (and the investment in the academy which produced Surman, McGoldrick, Lallana, Gobern and Dyer) we'd have been completely screwed - Only poor academy players and a load of temp signings left. And Pompey don't HAVE any academy players to "come good". Oh dear. The Championship-starting side of 2011/12 featured only 1 Kelvin Davis 12 Lee Holmes 19 Morgan Schneiderlin 20 Adam Lallana 28 Bartosz Białkowski Of that lot. And two of them have since left. Portsmouth have NOTHING to base their team on this season, not even a team of Hatches, Imudias and Pulises, and no way of enticing players with the budget they SHOULD have.
