  1. Someone should have reminded MP that we are a goal down.
  2. JWP about to come on...for Boufal????
  3. If Burnley hold on it will be their first top flight win at Southampton and only their second win in Southampton in 70 years.
  4. Their first serious effort on goal. Yoshi did not look too good defending Vokes.
  5. 0-1. Vokes.
  6. Close from Davis.
  7. The commentators are claiming that Long is about to come on for Tadic.
  8. Austin on for Gabbi.
  9. Burnley are making a double substitution. Barnes and Vokes for Wood and Hendrick.
  10. Good effort from Yoshi!
  11. Tadic is having a shocker so far today.
  12. After a few heavy touches in the first half Redmond is having a decent game.
  13. Great effort from Redmond forces a good save.
  14. Almost from Boufal...
  15. Lots of remarks from the commentators on my feed about the similarities between Pellegrino’s management and last season under Puel. Flat is a word they’re using a lot.
  16. The only thing I can think of with Redmond starting is that he’s done a decent job of finding Gabbiadini this season, when compared with the others who seem blind to his runs.
  17. It worked for Tadic last season.
  18. Redmond back in the starting 11. Tadic and Boufal both start, Hoedt dropped for Yoshi.
  19. I hope for his sake that Lovren stored his head in a safe and secure location. It could be worth something on the dark web.
  20. I don’t think there’s that much risk in shipping out Bertrand if Shaw is incoming.. McQueen or Targett are decent options if Shaw gets injured. Shaw’s bromance with Poch (and his wages) make me think that Spurs would be more likely, even after Poch’s recent criticism of him.
  21. Well done to the Liverpool supporters? I feel dirty after writing that.
  22. I’m not sure if they give detailed reasons. When it was announced in the summer it was for services to football and sport in N. Ireland. I had always considered VVD to be one of the good ones before last summer so take what I am about to say under advisement: Steven Davis comes across as one of the good ones. I’m actually very happy for him.
  23. He hasn’t grasped it yet. Pellegrino has unfortunately made it quite clear that Redmond and Boufal are his two competing options for the left sided attacking position.
  24. Based upon a quick look at the Grand Old Team forum, the blue scousers will be even less impressed with this appointment than they were with Koeman’s two summers ago. Talking to a manager who’s under contract with a PL rival during the season seems a bit dirty to me. I know many will disagree - business is business, you have to look after your own and all that but I don’t particularly like it. Losing Dyche could have a crushing impact on Burnley’s season.
