His loan move to WBA didn't go well? I did wonder He ran the game against us, but WBA were poor in the run in, so perhaps that game was a blip.
-
gonna be tough. Easier for us to loan a player out for a season than to buy someone, perhaps from abroad, in such a short timeframe. Hope we can do it, but we no doubt need a couple to depart to free up wages.

cliched, management speak bollocks...laughable stuff with envelopes...Sterling saw he was full of shit. Some of these managers are simply out of their depth. They are not qualified to manage actual people. They don't have the personal traits required. Rogers strikes me as someone that has been over promoted. Just waiting to be found out.
-
How about Kent? I always thought he looked top notch, but no one has bought him

anyone watch the PSV Rangers game? Did Gakpo look like a £38m winger ...and off to United?
-
done it before, so maybe so. On loan to a sizeable Italian club maybe?

Interesting. I just watched the forum. He wasn't asked about Broja. He brought him up himself to describe `how fantastic he was and what a huge difference it made to have a striker that could create things out of absolutely nothing, (if Broja is not a target, then a player like him, such as Nicolas Jackson, would seem the order of the day). He then said "it was a pity he didn't show it for the whole season. And he stopped showing it, suddenly, er, or, ya...[laughter and big smiles]...for what reasons ever, but..." Dunno if I got the `gut full vibes', but certainly suggested he was either bamboozled why he was great and then he wasn't. Or he wasn't bamboozled at all, but he certainly can't tell a fans forum the reason for the change in his form. Not sure. see 22:05 onwards.

Thanks. Might be innocent enough, but doesn't feel great.
-
He criticised Broja? What were his exact words? Strange that Garrett continues to suggest that both player and club are keen to be reunited.
-
Our budget is not infinite. When do you stop holding tight?
-
Me too. Broja fit's Ralph' description of a `difference maker in final third'. His situation and summer to date is exactly why bringing players to a club is not straight forward or possible early in a window.

Rogers seemed to be a favourite on here at one point, which surprised me. I saw very little of the channel 5 Liverpool documentary, but what i did see painted him as an David Brent `emperor with no clothes' type character, that was completely laughable and given enough time would show his true colours and failings.

1.45 hours from Knowle (near Solihull, west of Birmingham, where some City footballers live) to Watford's training ground.
-
Not a chance in hell of Brum affording him. They lose money hand over fist. Even with the Bellingham sale they lost £5m that year. WBA have the second year of parachute payments, but that is only going to stretch to about half his wages I suspect. Will he take a drop in division? Would Leicester consider him a decent `squad strengthener' I wonder?
-
Good shout. There was that January relegation desperation though, which bumped the fee a fair bit. Mind you, Everton seem pretty desperate right now. If they are willing to spend £30m on Iwobi, then who knows what we can get out of them.
-
Now that's a fun signing. He looked amazing in the Euros. I really enjoyed watching him. I thought we were seeing the next Terry Henry Not sure what went wrong last season though as he scored fuck all goals. Ramos didn't feel like it would enhance Newcastle. In Wilson, they have their fox in the box. Isak offers a touch of quality. Ramos to Saints, Che to Everton then?
-
I was going to suggest that players don't take £30k a week pay cuts and will expect the selling clubs to make up the shortfall, but as he only has a year left, he might be advised to take a deal now, rather than disappear for another year and see his stock fall further(and wages). I would imagine West Ham will be linked, they always are, but maybe someone like Bournemouth who perhaps need a touch more quality on the ball in the middle. I bet Arsenal are demanding a considerable fee, but clubs ought to drive a hard bargain here as its just dead money (his wages) to them.
-
What do you estimate he got in his five year deal? Arsenal pay a lot. If he is on £50k a week, that would be in range. £100k. No chance.
-
I have learned nothing from that. Do they need his transfer fee money, do they have ti already, is Newcastle the team that are in for him, what does the two weeks until the CL start matter? Anyone able to decipher it?
-
I have this recollection of WBA suddenly being decent for a few games after he came and then returning back to type - letting in goals and creating nothing, which made me wonder just how good he was. Seemed to be decent, but having turned us down maybe we wont ever go back.
-
trying to think of comparable transfers, where a mid twenties striker moves between Prem clubs, with a couple of years in is contract and a track record of about 8-10 Prem goals. If there has been a few, then maybe narrow that down to someone offering some half decent old up play, but maybe not having pace and dribbling skills.
-
Welcome to the world of the Everton fan. I wonder what other fans think of Che? Obviously the four goals won't do any harm to opinions, but do others see him as a guy that has the potential to score 10, 15 Prem goals given better supply than we do?
-
another perfect candidate for a pay as you play contract. As he is at Liverpool, he'll probably be sold for £30m with just 6 months left on his contract.
-
to replace Romeu and provide emergency left back cover? He was great against us when on loan at WBA, but how did he do overall for them?
