keep that in mind should Arsenal take us to pieces again.
-
I thought they played with 3 at the back almost straight after the sending off.

people forget that we have only just been promoted, yet we are more than competing at this level now, which we had no divine right to do so. We gave a well established Premiership side the run around for an hour today. Lots of positives if you want to see them. We are so much better organised than the WBA debacle. We need to keep improving. We should expect some defeats in the next few weeks against the better sides, but we might just surprise one or two too.

**** the league, lets win the bloody FA cup.

1 point gained. Did brilliantly to forge a lead, but were unlucky to concede to a wonder strike. The ability to unlock teams is what gives is a great chance in games even if we go behind, Any point away from home is good and after a poor start to the season we've become a very competitive Premiership outfit. I think we will stay up, happily.

I wouldn't worry about it, no doubt half the board will be blaming him despite the fact he saved Crouch's header at the end to earn us a point.
-
no he wasn't, he should have saved that screamer from Jerome

Gult had a good game. Not sure Davis was overly at fault for their goals. He flapped at a few, but equally came and got others. The tactics - 4-4-2, centre back at right back, Guly instead of Ramirez, Rodriguez instead of Ramirez, playing it long and down the channels were the reasons we were 3-1 up in the first place. Adkins tactics worked pretty well.

Jos is that CB. Ricky is that front man. Not sure who that keeper is.

Get players out the door would be my first priority. Millions of pounds we don't have are being wasted.

giving away cheap free kicks kills you, so I don't want to see us diving into more tackles. Te fact we have so few yellows shows that sides are not getting behind us as much IMO. Morgan takes a yellow for the side when required, but we have been well organised meaning he hasn't had to as often as last season even.
-
they looked relegation fodder at our place. They will go down IMO.
-
I thought Jos had an outstanding game. I was told he wasn't up to Premiership football. Looked solid enough to me.
-
you must have the shortest memory in the history of football. Gazza lost his confidence completely after some terrible performances and in the end was a complete liability. He was a busted flush. The Norwich game is right up there with Ian Andrews at QPR as one of the worst displays I have ever seen from a Saints keeper. Thank god NA dropped him. Davis struggled to deal with Stoke's giants. Check out their goals over the last few seasons and see how keepers struggled in exactly the same way.

when we start letting games slip through our fingers at home, that's when 2005 really will be emulated. Enjoy the ride people, far better a relegation battle in the prem than a mid table place in the Championship or lower.
-
I thought the subs were the right ones. If we'd brought attackers on instead if extra defenders I can't see how the pattern of the game would have changed, they would probably have scored still and Adkins would have been slated for not bringing on defenders

alpine won't post anything negative about this game. He's said time after time that the performance doesn't matter. All that matters is the result, so seeing as we got a draw to a side with a brilliant home record that will be regarded as a good point.
-
right midfield is without question his best position and this has been proved time after time. He does not have the pace to go round the outside of fullbacks so he cuts inside (to good effect) and that means he is more effective on the right side moving on to his best foot.
-
I think every Saints fan thought the same, but hoped it wouldn't be. Very, very bad miss. I defend him on here a lot, but that's three absolutely terrific chances he has missed in recent weeks. That said he had a pretty good game at left midfield, especially in the first half. Thought he disappeared in the second along with all our midfield as the ball just sailed over them time after time.
-
I didn't think we capitulated in the second half, we just succumbed to a long ball onslaught against two of the best headers of a ball we have seen in a Saints shirt, maybe even the premiership. I think the biggest error was not changing our game plan. In the first half it was to hoof it and get the ball down the channels, turn them round and pick up the pieces. We continued to do this in the second half conceding possession far too cheaply. We should have looked to keep the ball. Cork and Morgan (and pretty much everyone) gave the ball away too cheaply when we had the chance to break or pass them to death. I never want to hear skate Pulis or any Stoke fan moan about people describing them as a hoof ball side. They are exactly that and very good at it too.
-
we hoofed well in the first half, they hoofed better in the second.
-
where is all that football Stoke fans go on about? Non stop hoof and how bloody effective.
-
gonna be so much injury time
-
take our midfield off, that part of he pitch won't be used
