Dean Saunders interview after the game yesterday would suggest otherwise. I think he said something along the lines of `the fat lad from Sheffield hadn't agreed to go to either of the two clubs that had come in for him so he expected him to stay. Also Sharp had indicted that he would stay till the end of the season.'

has Dyer gained the strength to kick the ball further than 20 yards yet?
-
putting the brilliant Jos to one side, is Fox good enough for our team? As an aside, playing McGugan on the wing is not the way to do it. I think I could do a better job than the clot. Clueless.
-
maybe, but Rangers now face court proceedings in relation to £49m worth of unpaid taxes and penalties. As we have seen with the skates football clubs have a way of getting away with these things but on face value the term toast comes to mind.

agree with your description (I'm only going on the youtube highlights as I can't recall watching him against Scunny) but I don't see a premiership striker there. At that level you need to have at least one outstanding attribute to go with being a decent finisher, be that pace, tricks, strength etc. Mind you I would have said the same of Jon Walters and he has shined. £7m seems like far too much to be spending in the 2nd tier but promotion and some prem goals would change that statement.

Just watched the highlights and I was wrong about the Jos block. It certainly was decent. The keeper should have done better with Morgan's goal and Claridge, who normally calls things right was totally wrong about the red card. It was clearly a red. Have to laugh at Clot trying to drag in some non existent foul prior to the red. Straw clutching at its best.

on left hand side they spent the whole first half making people sit down. Tiresome. I know they need to show willing to meet ground safety rules but when the rest of the ground is standing it doesn't half annoy.
-
is that some sort if desperate attempt to get the FL to allow them to bring one having let one go out despite the embargo? Perhaps they are going to try for the less than 20 players trick again.
-
didn't they renegotiate his deal down in the summer to about £20k a week and no resigning on clause having reach x amount of games? That was what I was unreliably told by a skate some time back.

Notice that Redknapp's all over the media..?!
Chez replied to Channon's Sideburns's topic in The Saints
he certainly is -
can not see that at all. He is very committed to Palace, turning down Wolves a year ago and has a potential cup final to play in. In the summer maybe, if we have got promoted, but not in this window.

cheers. I missed that or forgot. Great news.

when he returns to fitness I am told that Barnard is going to be sent out on loan

sorry, I meant West Ham not Leeds. http://www.whufc.com/articles/20110816/watford-0-4-west-ham-united-ft_2236884_2421663

I just thought it was just brilliantly struck and keeper had no chance. It's been coming. The lad has a very good shot on him. Worried he has still not signed a new contract. He could play in the Prem now (perhaps that is the problem). Lets get the lad signed on a 5 year deal ASAP.

yep that would be my guess too.

the fire drill song was attempted on the left side

with only one champions league place available, I would have thought the Celtic board would be very reluctant to let this guy go half way through the season. With Rangers about to go bankrupt they just need to hold their nerve a little longer and then the Scottish title will be theirs to lose every season. They wouldn't want Rangers pipping them this year and somehow getting off the hook financially. I'd be amazed if he was allowed to go unless it was £6-7m. But is he worth that?
-
second half it was bitter. Agree with you about the different songs, but boy were we quiet in the first half. It matters not. The display on the pitch was great.
-
depends, it might just be that Leicester, like us, wouldn't meet to his demands.
-
you thought Morgan's goal was down to a keeper error?
-
buying a new striker won't make Martin finish better, besides Holmes and Martin are our reserves so we'll be stronger when Chaplow and Fonte return anyway what are you talking about? The red was an obvious red and the yellow was a yellow no more. the poor run IS over. Besides I don't think we have been playing badly recently anyway. We were very good against Brighton till the red card and I thought we played well enough in the Bristol City game too.
-
very interesting analysis. Can O ask you to do it using 3rd bottom rather than bottom as as you said sometimes the bottom placed team gets cut adrift and this season I think Cov will do just that especially having lost their `star' striker.
-
its a very good question, but there is no guarantee that we will win games next season, and on the financial side we have a big old wage bill that will need promotion at some point to wipe out the debt we have probably built up over the last three seasons (even with the £12m from AOC).
