strange how it's only ever AA that we hear from these days. Has Lumpitt lost his voice perhaps?
-
are you volunteering? By the way are mods liable in a court of law or is it just website owners?

I'm not fan of Alladyce or West Ham, but their transfer policy has helped them to top of the league. Premiership money and squad or not, they still had to sign the right players. They have a transfer structure. It's to by the best possible talent available to them. Focus on what we do.

I know his neighbour. He's been injured. When fit he will go out on loan.
-
tell me how you would have felt if the FL had relegated us by 9 divisions? Yes the skates seem to continually take the ****, but don't ever forget that we also ****ed up our own finances and went into administration.
-
if Brum don't sell or loan Zigic in this window, financially they are crippled. They are massively reliant on potential investment from Hong Kong appearing and of course selling players like Ridgewell. I keep saying it, but Curtis Davis is the best defender in the Championship and buying him would solidify our back four, if it was needed, and totally ruin brum's chances. Should we get promoted he (along with Zaha) would be the first on my list of buys, so why not do it now? As for us winning the league, I can see it. Connelly's return has brought our `possession at all costs' style back and teams just can't cope with not having the ball. Keep him fit and others and we can do it. I honestly believe that.

they don't pay their taxes, again, but they do sign Kelvin Etuhu and extend Futacs' contract by a further year. Taking the ****ing **** again.
-
Forest look doomed. Teams do turn it round, but not this weekend. We'll have to do the work ourselves. And we will.
-
£12m for AOC plus Surman, goaldrought and little thief sales on the one side and none of the recent signings on the other, so this figure doesn't quite paint the whole story.
-
not quite sure why there is so much excitement today. Cala was never going to buy them, not a chance, so him pulling out or being ignored was inevitable IMO. The fact they turned down a bid for players during the week tells me the other interested parties are much more serious. So nothing has changed from what I can see.
-
every day of the week. never gone happen though, he's Premiership bound. Actually if we get promoted he would be first on my list. Now that's going to be some HCDAJFU thread...
-
I've mentioned him numerous times before, but Jordan Mutch is a very good player and exactly the sort of player we should be signing. He's having a great game tonight and no surprise that his return has coincided with some good results. Shame WBA have put in an offer for Ridgwell otherwise the blues board would be desperate by now and a decent offer might be welcomed. Just for good measure I'll mention Jack Butland and Curtis Davies again too.
-
I wonder why didn't they sort this deal out two weeks ago? Good signing by the way. Feel for the Leeds fans, Bates is slowly and surely killing them.
-
a couple of months ago Portsmouth council talked of spending £1billion on various city upgrade projects. Maybe every town and city is producing these kind of plans in some sort of desperate attempt to be the chosen city that gets the limited private investment currently available?

TBH, Mokoena and Mullins will all be on Premiership wages. The latter signed by Tony Adams before relegation was on the horizon. Whether TBH reduced his terms in the summer is unknown, but he certainly removed the new contract if he plays X number of games. He might have done that to get games. Maybe he was offered a rise, who knows? Kitson and Lawarence wages were £44k supposedly. That was reported on here, whether true or not I don't know. Norris will be on at least £20k a week for sure. He wouldn't have left Ipswich unless he got a pay rise and he was on about £15k a week there. Halford certainly wouldn't have joined Premiership Wolves (for £2m) for less than £20k a week and he wouldn't have left for less either. Take your pick from Hermann, Halford, Kanu, Varney and Rocha for your last big earner.
-
strange for Cala to pick a figure out of the air in terms of 8 players and £1.1m a month wages. He either has seen the books or Chinny has provided that information to him.
-
the India episode was perhaps one of the worst they have done. Not because it took the **** out of India, because it didn't, but because everything was so much more obviously staged than normal and the show came across as false and badly acted rather than natural.
-
and they won't as they know they can get promotion with him and then sell or keep if he fancies it come the summer. Sell now they won't get a bigger fee so what is the point? Not a chance of him leaving unless manure come in with a massive bid. it won't.
-
I agree with this. Not long before Christmas there was an article in a Scottish paper (no doubt arranged by agent) quoting Hopper as being really happy at Celtic and wanting to extend his contract. No contract offer turned up though and what do you know three weeks later Saints make a big, most likely based on advice from the agent saying the player was happy to join Saints and Celtic would be happy to do a deal. Celtic obviously are not happy to do a deal at the money we were told by the agent and here we are. This deal isn't going to happen. Well at least I don't think it will happen.

new groundtastic for them though. Some clubs have been stuck in the respective divisions for yonks and it can become a little bit monotonousness.
-
more lovely tippy tappy football on its way to SMS. Love these foreign, don't have a clue what they are really like transfers. Very good idea to borrow ****flaps youngsters, build a relationship with them and when they run out of patience waiting for a first team slot we can grab them on the cheap.
-
agreed but they sold out Fratton last season, easily. 270 mile trip that.
-
no special treatment, they just sell out pretty much everywhere and when given the opportunity to take a shed load of tickets they do. They took just under 5800 to Barnsley, and 4000 to Palace, P'boro, Derby and Donny. Last season they had 6000 at Cov. Very impressive away support.
-
true. I suspect that's why he often is perceived as having had a good game even when he hasn't. Doing `out of this world stuff' tends to be remembered. His great asset is his ability to control the ball perfectly whilst in the run. Lots of players have a decent touch, but when already on the move it becomes a great skill and one that he has mastered. Very lucky to have him.
-
can he? I'd love to see his attempt at the cross bar challenge. I doubt the ball would even reach. I was a massive fan of Fabrice Fernandes. At Fabrice's best Dyer couldn't lace his boots. IMO Dyer is over hyped. I haven't seen a huge improvement since he left. I'm not saying he is a bad player, he is after all extremely pacey and tricky, but calls for him to play for England are miles off the mark if you ask me. Are people thinking that small players are the way forward because of how well Spain have done with them? Because if they are they need to recognise the difference in quality and strength the likes of Silver have over Dyer. I don't feel any pride in him coming through our academy. He was a ****, shamed the club and I was glad we got rid as soon as. Good luck to Swansea though. Love how they play. Hope we continue to copy them.
