  1. I very much agree with your post apart from giing Gillett an 8. Defencively he was excellent today but he gave th eball away far too often. For me he was worth a 5 and Gobern a 7. Patterson was excellent in the first half but tiring after just 50 mninutes is not acceptable.
  2. were you at the Plymouth game? Excellent display today. We dominated the first half and unlike previous games we came out well in the second half. JP made the right subs at the right time and we worked our socks off. Gutted we didn't get the win. Also gutted to come on here and read the same old depressing **** from `supporters' more intent on moaning than enjoying the football. Yes we are in the **** but we played well. Time to pat the players on the back for once. Very pleased that McGoldrick scored after the abuse he has taken on here.
  3. another player that improved ten fold whilst out injured. He flatters to deceive a little if you ask me. I'd rather play Mills at left back and Skacel in that wide left position. I want to see him get to the byeline much more and get some crosses in from dangerous positions. I have to say that he is better than I thought he would be, but his lack of pace is always going to hold him back. He still has much to prove in my eyes.
  4. I certainly wouldn't get uptight with that assessment. Holmes has done nothing and Schneiderlin still has a lot to prove in my eyes.
  5. what odds we are paying half his wages while he is out on loan. I can't see Brighton paying him £3k a week.

that is all I was saying. Sometimes better teams lose. I certainly am not making excuses for the current side or confusing `flatter to deceive football' for effective winning football. I don't appreciate being categorised as an apologist, I know why we are failing, but if that makes you feel superior you go right ahead.
  7. think again. Saga's wage will mean we not only can't sign mew loans but it will mean Cork and Pearce have to go back.

well you are going to get your wish as no one wants Saga. The problem is his wages are going to be moe than Cork and Pearce combined so it will restrict us loaning anyone else as well. Saga to save us? I'm not so sure. Lets hope I am wrong.

From what I have read from the AGM if Saga stays then Cork goes back to Chelsea and Pearce back to Reading.
  10. at any normal PLC if the company is failing then the Chairman/CEO is fired. The question is from a PLC point of view is the company failing (ie debt increasing)?
  11. the players are giving their all they are just not good enough.
  12. is this boycott to get rid of JP or Lowe?
  13. Does relegation mean certain administration? I think failing to get Saga, Rasiak, Skacel and Thomas off the books is more or a prerequisite for administration. if we are relegated but not in adminstration then we won't be -10 or -15. like they did the last time we got rid of him? If we win every week then crowds will go up, if Lowe goes and we still keep losing the crowds won't come back. We got to the playoffs when the club was settled and then avoided relegation on the last day. We were set to go on from there. We have now gone back into the freefall, this time it will be much harder to avoid. What a load of cack. We got into the play offs because we spent a relative fortune on top quality players and had brilliant young players as well in Jones and Bale, certainly not because we were `settled'. We were nearly relegated the following season because we and to sell our best players and bought ****e. No I can't, but I don't see a boycott helping.
  14. that reduced income will certainly help us get the very best. I can see what you are saying, but its results that will force Lowe's hand, lower attendances will just force the sale of Surman and Lallana and prevent us resiging Cork.
  15. again, a boycott helps how exactly? All it means is we have less money and we employ even less quality players. Boycott all you want, 10,000 have voted with theoir feet already, but it won't help the team survive relegation.

this is why fans took to PEARSON, his honesty and clarity was refreshing after years of drivel from previous managers. Sadly no one has a clue what the **** Jan is taking about half the time.

rubbish. You can take sides to peices and get hit on the break and lose 1-0. That does not mean you didn't play the better football. Sometimes it is just not your day. Sadly that has nto been the case with us all season.

this is what he really means..."the squad is ****e, never goog enough for this level. I've tried to cover this by swamping midfield, however even that is failing badly as the first 11 gets weaker and weaker due to injuries etc. I'll keep trying, the players will as well, but in the end unless money is made available to me to bring in the players I know and want we are going to struggle."
  19. we are playing **** because we have **** players. We have **** players because we have no money. Boycotting improves things how exactly?
  20. Its the only reason I could think of for us not keeping Pearson. However if Pearson was on £160,000 for four months work (as suggested above) then I conceed that Poortviet could be on £100,000k or maybe more. I have no idea, I just can't see why Pearson was not retained unless Lowe found someone a hell of a lot cheaper.
  21. I know you were being sarcastic, but I really don't understand why we let Wright go only for Wotton to come in. Wright played well last season at right back and is a much better footballer. I guess Wright must have been on £5k+ whilst Wotton will have been on less than £5k
  22. why didn't he get into the restive spirit and use chocolate coins?
  23. very good right midfielder? What makes you think that, a couple of decent crosses from fullback?
  24. I could not agree more. Who gives a **** what photo is on the wall? The entire meeting seemed to be about past events and LM/Crouch telling Lowe he was not wanted. All that matters at the moment is how the club can continue as a going concern whilst still attempt to stay in the league. I am past caring whose fault it was and this meeting was a total waste of time.
  25. Assuming Pearson would have cost £160,000, and JP costs about £50k, then Lowe has saved over £100,000. That is not to be sniffed at when trying to trim every possible cost (not easy when players have fixed contracts) and perhaps it was enough to sway Lowes decision, but there must have been a middle ground? I'd like to point out that it wasn't just a case of Pearson or the three Dutchman. If we had gone for Pearson he would have needed an assistant as well, so further savings might have been made there as well. I wanted Pearson and at this point it looks a very poor decision to not give him the job. Lets hope things improve result wise and then some of us can start forgetting about Pearson.
