Players liek Walcott with his exceptional pace, and Kenwyne with his build and arial strength have the attributes to succeed without any experience required. McGoldrick doesn't have either of those so he is going to take longer to shine. IMO he does have the first touch and the ability on the ball required to play at this level.

they never learn to give players a little time before writing them off.
-
another player I backed (along with KJ and Fuller). People never learn.

why haven't the former residents been given the option to reclaim their old seats as they were for Manure?

care enough to log on here and post your pearls of wisdom though...

I have certain degree of trepidation about the game as the brother in law is a Forrest supporter and I'll never hear the end of it, but as with all Saints games I can't wait. Watching Saints games is excellent. If you're not interested in going then why come on here?

not at all. I judge players on what I see not what someone tells me I am seeing.

You will have to excuse my typing torrets. I clearly have a potty mouth. He (McGoldrick) said "things are going well for him" then people on here questioned how he would say that seeing as `he is playing ****'. I understand why he would say it, as he is playing regularly and in many games doing well (some would not agree with me of course). But if you have been overlooked, sent out on loan or just given five minutes playing time every month then how things are going now are going to seem much much better, or in other words `things are going well right now' compared to previous seasons. Hope that explains things. The lad is 22, give him time.

Top 5 best and worst player to play for saints in CCC
Chez replied to Thedelldays's topic in The Saints
O'Halloran actually played though unlike the others. I feel Folly was much worse than Wright. I watched every singke one of his games for us plus the games for Wednesday and Plymouth against us and never seen him make a tackle. Total pants. Wright had some very good games at CM and despite a few shockers at right back (Colchester away springs to mind) he got far too much abuse IMO and showed what a true pro he was by playing throuigh the boos and having some fantastic games at right back. Brilliant in the air. -
they were in mine. KJ was the best striker in the CCC by miles in my opinion. Not seen a guy leap as well as him ever. Fuller always had the ability to beat a man all ends up and very few strikers have that. He creates chances out of nothing (like Henry Camera did) and that ability is worth its weight in gold. Returning to Lallana and Surman. Lallana is going to be seen by Premiership scouts as another Aaron Ramsey. If you don't get in and buy him now at £5m then in a season's time he is going to be snapped up by a big boy. Surman reminds me more of a Lescott. Not in playing style, but in that everyone knows all about him and someone just needs to take a punt at the right price. If he leaves for less than £3m we have been robbed IMO. He might not be the finished article, but he is a quality player that is going to get better and better. I've been saying for yonks that he is made for a central role and he has proved this season that he can really play. He's playing very similar to Guthrie and look how well he did once given a go in the Premiership. Those that slate these two players, who would you honestly prefer in the side to replace them, bearing in mind the transfer money will pay of the overdraft and there will be tiny wages available for any incomers. We failed miserably to replace Bale etc last time (hence we are where we are) what on earth makes you think we will do better this time round?

I can't believe you didn't include O' Halloran. Made Ali Dia look a class act. -

I personally rate him and hate seeing Saints supporters jump on his back as they did with Fuller, KJ and BWP. You ****s never ****ing learn. If you give these young guys time they will improve and show what they have. How many of you ******s would take Fuller back now. Every ****ing on of you if you have half a clue about anything. This is his first full season and he is playing regularly - hence things are going well for him - certainly compared to previous seasons where he didn't get a look in. OK so he could do with a goal or two, but FFS when will you ****ers learn that most pros take a while to find their feet. Check out the scoring of BT and MLT in their first full seasons at SFC. This guys has talent and if nutured correctly he could prove to be a very good player for us.

can't see it selling out myself. -
gutted to hear him on Hampshire Radio speak with little or no desire to stay IMO. He talked about keeping his head down but from what I heard it sounded very much like he was just waiting for a Premiership offer. Surman is a top player and contrary to the statements above mine he is playing very well indeed right now. He appears to have a great engine to add to a fine first touch, ability on the ball and desire to urst into the box. The game is all about opinions but anyone that descirbes him as a League 1 player it talking complete and utter ******** and doesn't know their arse from the elbow when it comes to spotting player talent. Next you will be telling me Wotton will be a fine replacement.

the system is fine we just need to mix things up a little with more long balls (with themidfield pushing up to get the knock downs etc.), more diagonal balls over the fullbacks shoulder with the wide men putting them under pressure, wingers that stay wide and then dribble down the line and get to the bloody byeline, and better shooting from the likes of Lallana and BWP. I'd also like to see us break a little quicker, less crossing from deep and when we get in the final third lets get the ball in the box not go back round again. Lets pass it short to get in hte right areas but once there lets reduce the number of passes before we hit the box.

tired and low. This feeling is not helped by finding so many smug bastards on here saying `I told you so'. Why don't you all **** off back to your own skate message board? I know I have said we will get relegated but that doesn't stop me feeling down when we get murdered. Where the **** is Euell? Why wasn't Morgan back - JP suggested he would be, and how did Pearce turn from being a man mountain on Saturday to a powderpuff on Monday? Boy do we need to do more in the final third. We play two wingers yet we haev got to the byeline about 6 times all season. FFS get down that line and worse case scenario you win a corner. If we don't get a right back in the window we have no chance. James wins as manyheaders as Folly entered into tackles. Thats **** all by the way. We appear to be done by all the pysical sides (and not all are thank god).

maybe Fulham will pay a percentage of his wages.

you talk a lot of sense but you've let yourself down here!

nice. Good idea for another prize giveaway for loyal supporters. Free car park space at the ground...

I do have a ST and I go away as well. I've watched pretty much all his games in the first team and I saw him play in the youth team as well. How about yourself? He was lazy at the start if the season. Stern John left and he improved greatly. He's a nipper, give him time.
-
spent most of the season sho9uting "get to the byeline". Th likes of James would rather cross from deep than dribble, even if there was space ahead of him. When BWP got the byeline twice down the left hand side against Plymouth we looked lethal. Why doesn't he do that all the time. His left foot crossing is actually really good.
-
honestly? That is ****ing great news. Please someone make my day by telling me John, Saga and Rasiak deals are all done. With these guys off our wage bill we really can start moving forward.
-
all great players but make note that BT scored just 6, 0, and 12 in his first three seasons at SFC? The great tiss scored just 7 in his first full season (2 and 5 in the previous two seasons). I wouldn't write McGoldrick off just yet.
