    Thinking out loud here as I’m not a legal expert when it comes to contracts and obviously we don’t know what is written in Tonda’s. But people are worried about giving him the job until the season ends and then evaluate, in case it is a new manager bounce and he might not handle a few loses etc etc. But surely, he can have the gig to the end of the season and if then we decide we need someone else, or, he does well and we want to keep him, but people are worried he’ll be poached, wouldn’t he still be under contract with us anyway? That should stop him being poached and he can return to the U21’s or become the new managers No.2 to learn the trade more, with an eye to first team management again in the future?

    Obviously very pleased with the results of the last three games, but not the performance of the first two. He clearly has something about him and long term will probably go on to great appointments. However, with our squad, I would be worried if he was made permanent, then the effort would slip again and we are back where we started. The last game especially shows the quality we have for this league and prior spending shows we are willing to spend. This should now attract an even better calibre of manager than we could have hoped for a few weeks ago. Hopefully we are now in, or will very soon be in, discussions with a manager/s with the calibre of Rogers, or similar.

    It’s frustrating I know, especially when you don’t see roadworks/an accident. But someone explained to me once the idea behind it and it makes it slightly more bearable. It’s all about cameras feeding to a system where it sees buildups and adjusts the flow of traffic, sometimes many miles before, to try and even the flow and get a greater number of cars through than would happen if they all piled into the build up at the national speed limit. Although that person had no explanation when I said I’ve seen that many times on the M25 and other motorways at 0200 when going to/from work.
