The Dell to St Mary’s. Although for pure nostalgia, many wouldn’t agree I’m sure.
-
Lighthouse, how’s your brother, pingpong, getting on with his recovery?
-
What a shitpinger!!!!! Their keeper had no chance. Only our very own pingpong would have saved that!
-
Baz, I can understand now why you’re such a shit ‘keeper. You’re blind as a bat!
-
We’d be at least 3 down now if we had pingpong in goal.
-
Why would the Premier League be pissed off about an FA Cup game? If anything, it shows that the Premier League is higher thought of than the cup, if that’s what we did.
-
We would have lost today with pingpong in goal.
-
I wish we were Norwich.
-
Fixed for you Baz. You’re welcome.

You’re just being silly now Gav. You know you’d drop the key down a drain when it’s handed to you.

I’m not saying this to be argumentative here, but these stats need to be taken as they are. That is, for the squad we have, compared to the rest of this league, we should be winning the majority of our games, drawing a few and very rarely losing. Comparing stats in this league this year, to those of Poch, Koeman, Strachan etc, where we often had a much weaker squad compared to the rest of the league, isn’t really a true comparison.

Looking at their lineup, they’ll be cooking. -
They’re now copying our tactics.

We go around in circles on here, reacting to each defeat like it’s the end of the world and each win like we’re suddenly prime Brazil. Stats again being used to prove arguments about this that and the other. I still believe we should never have appointed Still and Tonda and a few before them. With the money invested, the squad we have, a proven, decent manager would have us top two in my opinion. Easily. Our bad run was game after game of bad formations (yes they do matter) with players playing out of position and playing players like Bazunu, Manning etc, pre thinking the subs before the match starts and always changing like for like when it wasn’t working. His win record should be good, as on paper we have one of, if not the strongest squad in the league. Compare that to managers that in our history have kept us mid table and higher in the top division, going on decent cup runs and even lifting the FA Cup once. There’s as much chance last night that the players did their own thing second half despite what the manager said. Indeed, they came out early so probably decided between them what to do as they should have been ashamed of their first half performance. That showed good character from the players which should be great going forward if they keep it up. It shows our squad is one of the strongest so should be challenging higher up. Not because of some tactical and inspiring half time talk from Tonda.
-
Tonda completely made that such hard work for us with a stupid starting lineup. But my god. We don’t do second half’s. But Carlsberg do and that was a Carlsberg second half. That will do wonders for team spirit and togetherness going forward. Hopefully give us some more strength and belief going forward, especially when/if we go behind in future.

Oh the irony! 😂 -
To put it another way to those that say we aren’t in the chase for a playoff place. If the table was slightly different, and we were 7th, 4 points from 6th place with only a 2 goal difference in GD, would you say we were in a race? Someone posted points per game for Tonda. During most of those games, we had a hologram in goal, played the wrong system (if that does count), played Manning, an out of position RB and our striker had a conversion rate that would need the maths genius or Rachel Riley to work out. I would hope now, with the changes made to the squad, our lineup, tactics (no pre planned subs and a better second half recently) and a striker that has shown he has the potential to be the CF we need, that our points per game might increase. One thing is for sure in that I am now looking forward to watching us play again, rather than dreading it and watching through in a state of utter boredom and anger at mismanagement of our squad.
-
Don’t forget, recent teams have had depleted squads, so he hasn’t had to face un-saveable shots from some of the world’s best strikers like Baz did, EVERY SINGLE MATCH.
-
Another positive is that we can now give the Vice Captain position to someone else, as his performance in that role was absolutely horrific. I think I can guess who the majority want in this position now.
-
If Baz plays today, we would have lost. He would have let that first shot in, then our players heads drop, and we get rolled over.
-
How’s your recovery going Baz?
-
Baz would have just started to dive now for that shot.
