It's a load of old bollocks. Coutts made a commercial decision based on the fact that Farage had paid off his mortgage with them. Being that he had been below their threshold for some time, the two things together meant they could make the decision to exit because he was not valuable to them any more, quite the opposite. They risk assessed it, knew there might be negative publicity and did it anyway because the numbers didn't make keeping him worthwhile.
