I've been to countless football matches alone, I don't think it is a particularly difficult thing to do (accept I am a 40 something white man). I don't know your circumstances but I would say its pretty easy to turn up to a game, watch it and leave alone without anyone even noticing. Especially day time matches if you are worried about safety. You might even meet someone new there. I think you should give it a go - good luck to you.
