Shame about Adams as we will miss a bit of front line defensive discipline. No issues with the available team selected but I think we will lose.

The response was to a comment about why aren't we buying land to then build a conference centre. Some of us think we "haven't got a pot to piss in" in relationship with that concept. I tend to agree. But you take the opposite view. Otherwise why would you start arguing the toss about it? The post was very specifically about a conference centre. Personally I don't think we have the money for that, so seems a bizarre point to contest But then, it is you.

Brentford very nicely placed to stay up now. 20 points miles before Christmas is a very solid platform. They only need to be about as shit as Norwich are for the rest of the season and they'd still stay up. About 16 more points from 22 games. So they can on a horrendous run but they probably will still get the points. The annoying thing is that could have been us.

Sorry to hear such awful news - can't imagine what you are going through. Thanks for sharing.

Same here. In fact, CB Fry fans, I am writing this from the waiting room of the vaccination centre. Just on the 15 minute post jab session to let the microchip log in to my bloodstream. Might be the last post I ever send.

Who says i am looking? I know what is there from yesterday. It's all in the "not in terms of infrastructure" stuff and then you listing out our better training ground and newer stadium and other such drivel. It's all there but I know we all have to deal with the fact that the way you process the world is different to the rest of us. But for the rest of us life is not a spreadsheet on a little computer game. If you agreed with pretty much everyone else that Leeds are bigger than we are you could have said nothing but instead you go on about training grounds and then a load of old toss about how big doesn't really mean anything. All because you can't accept that another club just might be bigger than super dooper Saints. Its all there. Jesus wept.

Isn't it funny that I predicted you would go into this routine and here we are?
-
....and you're doing your little routine already. I never said that You don't understand English And so on and so on. Same routine time and again. Its literally on this thread, written by you yesterday. In black and white. When loads of people see you do it over and over again don't you think maybe it's you with the problem?

In the Press conference Chris Whitty stumbled over his words and just about said "we need to reformulate the virus" I think I could hear SalmonSi coming in his pants at that from here.

In just a weeks time MLG will equally deny that he ever started questioning the idea that Leeds United is a bigger club than Southampton. He'll deny he started listing out factors that he thinks make us bigger than Leeds. He'll get his Gifs out and pretend he "never said it". So predictable. For someone who posts as much as he does it's amazing that it always turns out that he "never said" anything at all.

See my last post for the response to that whataboutery. Kay Burley had to go off air for 6 months and she wasn't the fucking Prime Minister making the rules. -

Indeed. Cummings can really smell blood now. The other interesting point I read today was that this party was the same week as the Kay Burley thing. Which lots and lots of government ministers took great pleasure going on Sky and berating them, and Kay when she came back. So I think Sky have their angle too. Chuck in the images of the mourning Queen and I think we may have a perfect storm. -

He will bluff it out - he will need to be dragged out by his ankles. Anticipate lots of the "how dare you degenerate journalists ask about Westminster trivia at a time like this" routine. *Boris Johnson is a journalist. -

Scottish Tory leader Ross has gone in quite hard - Boris should go if he has misled parliament. As has his predecessor Ruth Davison. Senior Tories not even trying to dance around it now. If Allegra is planning an interview for a Sunday Newspaper he may well be fucked. -

It would be some spider diagram criss-crossing journos and special advisors and Guido Fawkes and the Spectator and Cummings and Number 10/11. An actual conspiracy set-up rather than the "they're trying to murder us but just incredibly slowly" stuff the Covid loons. Anyway, I imagine Allegra's having one hell of a leaving do. -

Will be interesting to see how much they have bought her silence. She's a journalist and knows a story and she is literally in the middle of one that could topple a Prime Minister. And, as I understand it, she's very much a Sunak person..... -

The brazen-ness was "better" than I expected - clambering up to his own moral high ground to accuse others of "playing politics". Absolutely masterful stuff. -
Puff piece in The Athletic this morning suggesting we have basically signed Pele with gloves on. If you want motivation or convincing that this is a good move for us, then that's a great place to start. Feels like he will be first choice come Saturday.
-
I agree with this. In the same way that Leeds and Everton and Newcastle and Villa and and and cannot all be the biggest club in the world, there isn't a scenario I can see where we suddenly are hitting the stratosphere either. Anyone who buys us will know this. Honestly don't get your hopes up everyone. The best we will get is we get bought by some yank/Thai/Russian/Mid East thing and we finish 8th occasionally.

I would imagine something will "happen" at about eleven o'clock this morning - Allegra Stratton resigns, an enquiry is "set up" to allow the PM to go to PMQs and shamelessly pontificate about how he has taken "action" and "sorted out" the thing he has been instructing his people to deny/lie about for the last ten days. Shameless but it will probably work, and Starmer hadnt got the righteous anger or theatrics to capitalise. -
So you are saying there is "no deadly virus", and no the vaccine isn't killing people at scale either. Because, apparently that would be bad publicity. Isn't this the shittest depopulation plan in the history of the planet? When do the deaths start?

Well, I think we can safely say that at least one person from The Sun was at the Downing Street party last year. They've managed to find a completely different front page story for tomorrow. Meanwhile ITV News at Ten went in harder than any British news program I can remember. Not sure old Trevor Mcdonald would deliver such a polemic. Ooof. Will be interesting to see where it goes from here. (additional- current Sun deputy editor was part of Downing Street comms team last year, so fairly safe to assume he probably was there.)
