  1. Well there you go, I am making jokes. I just can't help being naturally hilarious. But there are people, like you, who seriously and genuinely believe that being knocked out of the cup is, in itself, some boost to our league campaign. Which is the best joke of the lot.
  2. I worry how they can possibly cope with the crippling schedule ahead of them. I imagine fourteen or fifteen of the Palace first team squad will be wheelchair bound by mid March.
  3. Give over, FFS. Man City and Chelsea knocked out of the cup is news. Saints getting knocked out of the cup is normal.
  4. Fitzhugh's problem is he lives very much in the present, with no real historical perspective on the team.
  5. I don't agree. Now we've got the momentous energy boost from being out of the cup I fully expect us to average four points per game for the rest of the season. It's all that wonderful rest we'll get.
  6. So cup games are worked out as a succession of 50/50s but league games aren't? Yep, that makes absolute perfect sense. Well done.
  7. Why on earth would I do that.
  8. I'm going to sit back and enjoy the super human strength our ultra energised team will have as we power into third place like the Brownlee brothers on a speedboat.
  9. Think of all those matches we'll have to play. It's going to cripple us, I tells ya. CRIPPLE US. Is there any way we can play maybe one game a month or something?
  10. Being knocked out of the FA Cup doesn't make that any more likely. Just mental, f uck ing mental, that people think it does.
  11. I answered the question you asked. It's not relevant. Our manager would have wanted to progress in this competition, so I'll take his judgement over what's best for our club over yours. He certainly doesn't belive in gutlessly bottling it out of competitions like some on here.
  12. We played the maximum - the absolute maximum - number of domestic League and cup matches up to last weekend and still got to third. So no, I dont agree. Us getting knocked out of the cup is not some magic solution for us to finish fourth.
  13. Presumably you want us to finish eighth or something. Because getting into Europe would only mean lots more of those simply horrid football matches. I mean, how dreadful to play football matches because that just means injuries. I wish we didn't have to play any at all. Is there anything else we can knocked out of?
  14. Koeman would have wanted a replay more than a defeat. I'm with him, rather than you.
  15. Ridiculous comment.
  16. Well you've got your little wish. Your football team have lost. Hope you're happy.
  17. Gah. I'll get on with the business of being gutted. Can't see it now.
  18. We've got less money than lots of clubs but we've been quite difficult for teams to compete with this season. Man United will still be significantly bigger and richer than lots of other clubs for a long time and significantly richer and bigger than us, probably forever. And even if they're not, other big clubs will take their place. So just a false premise. Let's remember you've been following football for about a fortnight, and all the blogs in the world doesn't change that.
  19. No idea how you've come to that. Don't bother explain yourself here though. Do one of your blogs on it, then I can safely ignore it.
  20. Except the chances of them producing players to go straight into a Champions League level squad are very small.
  21. I'm not sure we can cope without Jason Dodd and Paul Williams.
  22. Are you saying Prince Andrew is getting the same type of coverage as Ian Watkins? Your post is far more black and white (in fact, just wrong) than anything you are complaining about.
  23. I think it would be wonderful if you could take a few minutes to give us an insight into what life is like in a country that doesn't have a media that sensationalises everything. The US is world famous for its dispassionate and dryly factual news coverage, and no American media outlet ever has an agenda to "perpetuate myths" to keep people believing "what a great place the USA is". You're so lucky. What's it like living in such a place?
  24. Tell you what, avoid nonsense like "things like that happen here" and using population as an excuse and I won't call you an idiot again.
