  1. Well at least you've finally realised that Champions League finishes require a decent level of form. Well done, you've given Saints 2 points per game instead of the relegation form that you said was "the level required" from your previous "analysis". Arsenal dropping only 8 points for the rest of the season on 2.5 points per game is pretty bold and proves you shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a list of upcoming fixtures. And if this isn't a prediction, what is it? You've taken the time to list out points per game for nearly 100 individual football matches but not to the extent that you think any of them will happen? If you simply think Arsenal are going to pip us to fourth you could have said that in one line. Or are you going to say you don't think that is going to happen either?
  2. By "notable" I'll assume you mean "as expected".
  3. You seem to be unable to accept the player involved having more than a weeny bit of knowledge of both of them.
  4. Fair enough. Don't go commenting on transfer fees ever again, then.
  5. Well, you won't ever know the details of either.
  6. If we accept (as you do, as you don't even accept the players involved know) that no one outside of the club finance officer is ever going to know those details ever, shall we just use headline figures as a reasonable guide?
  7. But the discussion is about the same man (Jacks Dad) comparing two headline numbers he would have from exactly the same source (his son). All in all exactly the same set of conditions to make a comparison. So what's your point?
  8. Didn't this discussion start from a tweet from his Dad with the headline numbers?
  9. Far too many middle men/brokers etc for Jack not to know. Let's not be silly.
  10. Be fair. For years before he joined he was known in the Swiss banking community as "The Italian Leroy Rosenior", so encyclopaedic was his knowledge of the English lower divisions. And so it proved. He was superb in the lower divisions for us.
  11. On a par with asking a supervisor in the Disney Store to describe the first hour of the new Star Wars film.
  12. They were good. Seemed like a lot of faff for that Guardian journo to schlep to Southampton for a five minute interview. I wonder if there is a longer form/written up version coming, but it looks like he does a lot of five minute interviews with 90s footballers.
  13. I am against the reformation of the women's team and will protest about it by buying a ticket for one of their matches at the earliest possible opportunity.
  14. I have absolutely no doubt you are utterly incapable of doing that.
  15. Err - what?
  16. You're waiting a long time if you expect Les Reed to return your calls. We're on a downward curve and no mistake.
  17. Box of frogs.
  18. Hypothetically speaking, he was pi ss ed.
  19. The low attendances were because we were bottom of the league and sh it. The Lowe thing gave people a lovely excuse though.
  20. Two great steaming promotions lardy. Two delicious f uck ing promotions. Yum yum.
  21. Either way, a great season built on the foundations laid by Nigel Adkins.
  22. Batman's "everyone's a hypocrite" routine going well again, then. In other news, Saints and Spurs are different clubs with different expectations. Fancy that.
  23. Nah, don't worry about it. We haven't got some magic formula really. Just a good strategy, very well executed. Don't think for a minute everything we do we've invented out of nowhere, we have accumulated ideas over time from other sources. Les is just sharing a bit of our vision, that's all. He's not going to tell people about the Staplewood blood doping room any time soon.
  24. WHY DID WE STOP WASHING OUR OWN HOTEL BED LINEN FFS?
  25. When are they making the Swansea one?
