  1. Well done Bazunu 👏
  2. Well done Bazunu 👏
  3. Aribo earned his number 7 shirt for a moment then.
  4. Turning the screw a bit, now.
  5. We're tapping it around like nobody's business
  6. It's coming out both ends.
  7. Flynn Downes back on the chicken livers, then - will that boy ever learn?
  8. I think what he is saying is that Calderwood only was announced at the end of October but the turnaround in form started over a month before, six games unbeaten, four wins. I know we love a bit of myth making on this forum but I think it would be a good idea to avoid pretending we were terrible and useless before Colin Calderwood turned up because it isn't true.
  9. 31 starts in the Premier League is not "he was never given a chance". That is plenty. That an opportunity at top flight level That most strikers around the world would kill for. Absolutely insane this forum that people think that isn't a reasonable opportunity to make a mark, or, you know, score more than two goals a season.
  10. This is a thread about Adam Armstrong but it seems to me the vast majority of your argument is that Che Adams is rubbish so that makes Adam Armstrong a Premier League striker by default. Adam Armstrong had plenty of starts and minutes to score goals in the Premier League. He didn't.
  11. You can repeat it over and over and over but you will never make it true. You're trying to make out that Adam Armstrong was some unused gem who never got a chance, spent two years kicking his heels. When in fact he played game after game, match after match and basically never fucking scored in Premier League. He had opportunities in the top flight that a thousand other strikers would kill for.
  12. I wrote a long reply but honestly what's the point. What you're saying is just nonsense. The Premier League is not "weaker", the FA Cup draw is normal, the Championship is not much different to other seasons, fair play to the strng start made by the top two but Burnley got 101 points and are now contributing to a "weaker" Prem so your point doesn't make sense. Lastly there is pretty much no correlation between "better Championship teams" and FA Cup performance. The last two finalists were Cardiff and Millwall. Dross Championship clubs who lucked out. So a Championship team can go I to the competition but at the same level of liklihood of the last 20 years. Not that likely.
  13. Tony Mowbray sacked as well. Blimey.
  14. Remember, he didn't mean Saints, that would be preposterous, calm down everyone. He meant the team one place and one point above them in the table. They might win it.
  15. As I was saying, Jesus wept.
  16. You think Norwich or Millwall are going to win it?
  17. We're due a win.
  18. Right now I am saying he is a little unlucky to be in the season he is in. 37 from 19 games really is excellent, in the ballpark of 2 points a game. Worthy, definitely, of better than fourth. To have two runaway clubs right now is properly harsh on us and Leeds who in another year could be the top two with those points. I still think we are play off bound (safely, we are top 6 no bother) but I think we will fall short of automatic.
  19. In summary, the think you think "can't both be true" can, very obviously both be true. As well as Burnley look at Norwich, Fulham and others that that have stormed the second tier and come straight back down.
  20. I put it all down to an act of God.
  21. Well, we surely won't be this bad today. Absolutely sensational.
  22. This was just after you threw two of them through a pile of wooden grocers crates outside The Cowherds, if I remember correctly.
  23. You've not looked at this season's Premier League table much, then?
  24. Absolutely ridiculous signing then. It seemed pretty mad at the time when we needed a striker NOW (ie then). So really we should be bringing someone in in January.
