  1. Why is Mason Mount even being talked about? Some people on here are fucking nuts.
  2. Merry Saints-Get-To-Third-Place Day to those that celebrate .
  3. If we're on 51 points on NYE then we'll be third for sure. We've got 2 "easy" home games, Leeds have two tough away ties (at annoying TV times for them as well). Difficult to see them winning both. If they do then Christ this is the hardest Championship season of all time to escape from.
  4. A few years back when the BBC had the FA Cup they tried a couple of years with Sunday 6pm kick offs, it is quite a good slot from a TV perspective. Really it is there to maximise the number of games back to back on Sky, which as everyone knows is the true meaning of that period between Christmas and New Year.
  5. Ipswich have "dropped off" but still running at 24 points from 12, 2 points a game, automatic form.
  6. A win on Boxing Day and I think we actually hit 2 points a game for the season for the first time since the early days of August. Leeds have a tough lunchtime away trip so a win for us and we could very well be third before the top-2 clash in the evening. Or Russell's old club turn up and spoil everything.
  7. Brilliant result, well done Saints. And another clean sheet. Exactly what was needed and we are nicely in touch with Leeds and both putting pressure on Ipswich. Great stuff.
  8. Unchanged team, it feels like things are clicking for us. This is the moment Joe Aribo. This is the moment. Let's put some real pressure on Ipswich, make sure Leeds know we're on their tails. COYR
  9. 100% Them cunts will know all about scar tissue once we've finished with them
  10. 100%. If we don't win today then automatic promotion is a two from three situation. Three that doesn't include us. Teams that go up automatically go out and win pressure games like todays. Not draw them, didnt we do well, look at us all unbeaten, a point is a good result etc etc. Win them.
  11. Every other player anyone can name is shit, because Ross Stewart is the only striker we could have possibly signed, Sheaf Saint was recommending him and absolutely no one else all summer. I remember it ever so well.
  12. HahHahahaha Jesus wept. We're on the "name him name him name him" part of the exchange. You can definitely point to threads and threads and threads on clamouring for Saints to sign Ross Stewart in August then, because he and he alone was the only striker in Europe we could have possibly signed? There was no one else anywhere? You definitely can do that right?
  13. That's us told. Well done the club on a fantastic signing and £8m very spent and thanks to Ross for everything you have done for us this season in our push for promotion 👏👏👏 Five months is NOT and NEVER WILL BE six months. FFS some people
  14. Yes it is disappointing but we all know the club will waste absolutely no time at all in buying a replacement striker who before you know it will be announced at about quarter past ten on the night of 31st January. No messing about.
  15. And that's just the first half.
  16. I think like pretty much all high profile sacked managers, Cooper will take a bit of time. Few ever really jump straight in to another job, it's incredibly rare - Dean Smith to Norwich after Villa is the only one recently and that went great. We had all this last season with people convincing themselves that Graham Potter would get sacked at Chelsea and walk into Staplewood the next day. A year on, he still hasn't taken a job. Cooper is not going to pitch up at a Championship club this season. His most likely next role will be a freshly relegated one next summer, or someone like us or Leeds if we blow the play offs and panic. Maybe the Welsh job, but probably too early and not well paid enough.
  17. If we really had the ambition the leadership of this club claims we have, we'd be buying three or four £30m players in January, not just one.
  18. You'll appreciate I cannot say more publicly at this time but yes.
  19. It's looking like a Blue day for half a great city, when the eagles come home to roost. When the Epiphany comes, or just after, call off the search. The Holy land welcomes a man of the left, name from an ancient trade.
  20. Nobody needs to panic, I think people will be very pleasantly surprised cone 1st Feb.
  21. The wheels are coming off.
  22. We beat Leeds away on the last day of season to sneak third and drop them into fourth. We lose play off semi to whoever, West Brom etc. Leeds promoted.
  23. When you know, you know.
  24. With a little run in the team, now this is the moment for Aribo to shine. Goal and an assist today. If not, let's fuck him off the minute the transfer window opens in January.
