Surprising news. If nothing else we will get a decent fee for him if we don't go up.

I admit I had a couple of practices in front of the mirror before I filmed it, but once I'd set up the phone and back-light, I smashed it in one take 👍

It's so strange how managers just lose it. He finished multiple times in the top ten of the Prem with I think four different clubs. He clearly had managerial ability once. You'd think he'll never work again (weird job in Thailand/UAE/etc etc notwithstanding)

The United Kingdom and the Death of Boris Johnson as we know it.
CB Fry replied to CB Fry's topic in The Lounge
The main benefit would have been capacity. If you have high speed rail dealing with London and long distance travel, it frees up more lines for inter-city/more local services. It was never really about getting to London twenty minutes quicker or whatever it was. -
If you were there last night you wouldn't be saying such rubbish.

Is our squad better now than in our promotion season?
CB Fry replied to Ex Lion Tamer's topic in The Saints
The biggest issue is the current team has been slung together. The promotion squad had a core that was into its third season, with quality being added as it went. By March, say, we may see that the back five that played last night have proven to be just as good as Kelvin, Jos and co. And maybe Ross Stewart is an instant legend by then. -
That was my thought. An actual striker playing up front could genuinely be the final piece of the puzzle. CB pairing was strong today, keeper was sound, Flynn I thought excellent. All of a sudden we are solid. But going forward we're not getting anywhere. A focal point could make sll the difference.

Tanadari Lee is the only one I think, and he was half a season. Christ knows what @farawaysaintis on about.

Do substitute appearances not count now? Surely the golden opportunity for strikers/attackers as a substitute is to come on and change the game, make a difference. How many times did Adam Armstrong ever do that? How many times did he come of the bench and show that he should be first choice? Bam. Goal. Assist. Pick me. You just seem to be arguing that Armstrong should have just been picked regardless. And to be honest with our dreadful options up front last year, I think he was picked regardless. Adam Armstrong could have replaced Che Adams as a first choice regular very easily, if he had scored. some. goals. He didn't. The idea that he never got a chance is absolutely mystifying.

Exactly - we need to win both of the other games this week to even get us back on track for the play-offs in terms of points per game. We are absolutely miles away from the top two already. If we win every single game in October then maybe we are in the top two picture again. Winning the odd game is not enough. If we get maximum points this week maybe the oh-ye-of-little-faith brigade can start their told you so crowing. But if we don't, then we remain bimbling about in mid table. Which funnily enough was not the plan this season.

Leicester City won the Premier League on about 40% possession so not that brainless. You may have missed we'd lost four games on the spin with one of the most expensive/lavish squads in the league, so maybe others have been a bit brainless too.

Good substitutions to be fair.
-
Che Adams has come on so that means goals goals goals
-
Oh, that's definitely not going to happen.
-
We've got 4 goals against in us all day long. Come on Saints.
-
Hopefully we've got a point in the bag.

I forgot about Piroe. Fucking hell.
-
I think that line up might just work.
-
Didn't need to see the other 27 passes to be honest.

I think it will be good to start a new poll immediately after today's comprehensive victory. You're correct it will look very different.

The highest Brentford have ever finished is 9th, we've sacked a manager for doing better than that. Of course, despite finishing higher than 9th one time in their entire history, there are divs on here that genuinely believe that "Brighton have done better than we have ever done" so no helping some people.

Well, we've been proper in the toilet in the last weeks, so completely appropriate.
-
Well, we've really been struggling with our identity in recent times, so completely appropriate.
-
Well, we have been on the receiving end of some right poundings recently so completely appropriate.

All I can think now is that they are not in control.
