  1. Loved watching that again, nearly a tear I have to admit. Cheers
  2. Yes, until today's game though. They were excellent v City (missing Yaya of course)
  3. Could not disagree more. Highly adaptable player who excels in doing things very well, but simply. Was highlighted in the Sky build up yesterday where none other than MLT said how valuable he is to the team. And when RK wanted to improve us yesterday, he removed JWP so that SD could do the job he does best, just behind Pelle. Brilliant and underrated player
  4. And while mopo did well for us, it turned out we replaced our top Nige, in an appalling way, with an equally appalling bloke, so got what we deserved in some ways. Agree NA was dealt a very poor hand at Reading. Hope he gets a decent club soon
  5. TBF to MOTD, even though they often mess up, last night's game was (1) not the best, certainly compared to some of the others and (2) had been live in Sky earlier on. They have been pretty complimentary about us and shown a lot of analysis on what we do well already this season, mistakes not withstanding
  6. Serious competiton for places when we sign him. Excellent today, including defensively just before he was subbed, top man.
  7. Good. Just wait until we put the senior side out again, that'll show him
  8. A few quotes from one of their forums: http://www.toonforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=7216&start=400 "Well done ref if not giving the penalty (likely us getting draw) if it makes sure Carver isn't picked as manager" "Lads , let's be honest. Two years ago this was a banker three points. They've shown us what happens when you have committed owner, good manager and youth policy that produces results. Us? Gone backwards. Big style. Sad but true."
  9. We should have lost the first FA cup game
  10. What a week, what a squad (more than one team for sure). Brilliant
  11. Yes, this
  12. Loving the saints fans songs echoing around the otherwise silent stadium
  13. It is on sky. We had a worse record at OT.
  14. Will be better than that today, late tests permitting. McQueen was excellent midweek, deserves a bench spot, but then so do most of the above youngsters and then there is Hesketh too
  15. No JWP either? #squaddepth
  16. Perez has 5, Sissoko 3 and everyone else 2 or less. Riviere has looked lively in recent games
  17. Good call. Belief / spirit is also through the roof at the moment, whereas we were on the back of 5 defeats and a draw when starting this one. Given Newcastle's own run and loss of Cisse the first goal howver it comes will be vital
  18. You started the strange replies Jeff. I said the player could not talk to another club, so could not "agree" anything - in the context of this thread headline and the Secret Footballer breaking news. You went on to explain how the player has not.
  19. Nothing about your post, I am saying this "deal" news is nothing more than what goes on constantly. Entirely thoretical, if player A joins Club Y at some future point this or next season etc, what might they pay him / what might he accept. He has not signed anything
  20. So there is still no deal, hence this "breaking story" is ****e
  21. Define "set for". Wanted to go there, personal terms likely to be ok, but subject still to agreeing a fee and sale with SFC and then a contract, ok. Otherwise, it would need SFC consent
  22. The player still has to agree a deal though, no matter which individuals discuss it. This report is all about he has a deal. I doubt it is just a case of "well Morgan has told me to tell you, to tell the other person, to tell Arsenal that he absolutely promises to sign in the summer, cross his heart and hopes to die".
  23. 100% this. A player under contract is unable to talk to another club, never mind agree anything, unless they are in the final 6 months of said contract
