No chance. We had some tough schedules when we played in the midweek league cup games, but RK has confirmed several times that he likes to win all games, and wants to do well in the cups. "...so I dont make big changes to the squad unless I have to for injuries". Expect a few rotational changes but not too many

Claridge, Savage, etc discussed MS briefly on 5 Live tonight. Claridge on the pre-season turmoil: "You can certainly understand why they (the club) got offers around £28m and yet said no, he must not leave". Said he has improved since last season, is the complete player etc. Was also very complimentary about Vic and noted how young he is. No idea where he got the £28m figure from, but MS has to be a chunk above £30m IMO.

TBF the ones from Manchester usually are; the Utd fans in my office may live in the area, but most of them moved here

Am speaking to anyone and everyone in my Manchester office today about how they lost (they have already fired me a few months back - am working my notice - so its low risk ). The repeated view of the Utd fans is that we were lucky, it was an awful game to watch, and we got one decent chance etc etc. Some begrudging acknowledgement that they fluked the St Marys win, though no mention of how we battered them at home and they failed to do that yesterday. Of course I pointed out the deep flaws in their "Rooney-esq" analysis, citing one G Neville as my chief witness. Whereas the City fans, plus one Leeds and one Bolton in the office all say it was an excellent performance by us, top drawer organisation and a great example of an away plan perfectly executed when up against £150m of attack or whatever it was. Go figure.

Yes. Had a fair few cars on personal lease or PCP type deals, have always worked out cheaper for me. This is due to: 1) the tax; and 2) the rates that employers seem to sign up to with their preferred car suppliers (probably with an annual kickback for them) are often very uncompetitive, which means a poor deal and/or a poor choice of car for the employee
