  1. Unsure about replacing Clyne as easily but Bertrand has been better than Shaw. Great defender, plus goals, no sickness / flurry of injuries.
  2. Did anyone see either The Drop (Tom Hardy, James Gandolfini - in his last film) or Nightcrawler (Jake Gyllenhaal, Rene Russo) before Christmas? Both had superb reviews but ended up not being shown for very many weeks, because they were competing for cinema space with a few big budget films, and then a rash of kids movies for the school holidays
  3. Just one of the several away ground guides for you: http://www.footballgroundguide.com/southampton/index.htm#St-Marys-Stadium-Southampton-Pubs Yates / Slug are about 8 mins walk from the station, on the way to the ground, and hence are the most popular, but you need to allow another 15 to get there. Ocean Village is further from the station but nearer to the ground, if you arrive earlier and fancy somewhere nicer / less rammed
  4. Its not that difficult to get a ticket for games that are not as popular though. Games which have a restricted purchase policy, or a link to another game, are by definition games that are popular and will most likely sell out. These "restrictions" aim to try to ensure that saints fans get tickets ahead of any casual day visitor, which has to be right. Yes, it also tries to stop away fans from getting a ticket ahead of our own fans, which again is the right approach.
  5. As has been said, Spurs is your place to go. But to answer the other question, what chance of getting 3 tickets, none. Not for this one
  6. The Half Time entertainment should seal the deal for any would-be match visitor
  7. Brilliant! Have that toffee chewing toffees
  8. Second half of ET underway, still 1-1
  9. Yep, that will work, you called it again Ninja. Agent will not tell anyone he is struggling, just pretend that he will be ok and playing very soon, and that will definitely get him through a medical and secure a deal elsewhere. Brilliant
  10. Fail. Close thread
  11. Nope, but takes security very seriously. Going offline now, sorry, heading out to cheer on Chelsea in a pub. Odd i know
  12. Leave it tiger, sorry, I mean goater
  13. There is good news and bad news for you Bear. I know plenty with those very qualities. But not to speak to, so names and stuff are going to be tricky
  14. All have been destroyed Goaty, sorry
  15. I can confirm having met (and indeed downed a few beers with) the delightful, intelligent, graceful, humourous, passionate (in a football way*) Lou that she is definitely not a Colin. *not saying thats the full extent of said passion, just to be clear, but this is all I can testify to. Think that gets me off the hook
  16. Very different situation. Elia appears to accept his faults / acknowledge that he needs to succeed here, and find a medium term home, or else he has wasted most of the best years of his career. Our Dani seems to accept no such thing. Add to that he has played for Juve and Inter while "cast into the wilderness" and I doubt for one moment that he thinks he needs to be "salvaged"
  17. Loved him. Got to see him at the Dominion, must be over 20 years ago and still ranks as brilliant
  18. one of the best: "I believe there is an equality to all humanity: we all suck."
  19. Spot on. I think there is much less pressure on us, only what the team/staff put on themselves. Expectations from everyone else vary from "no, they will fall away for sure" to "yes, they have a chance but the big teams will surely spend in January and catch them up, plus injuries will kill them". Good
  20. Just the same as SRL except he has not told the Mail
  21. Born there, lived there until I was 27. Dad took me to a game when I was about 10, was a dull 0-0 and I ignored it for a while. Whole family are fans, got hooked again through a friend, but not until after the very good teams and success of early / mid 1980s. Never any question of another team. Endured Ian Branfoot, enjoyed MLT, the rest is history. Only missed a handful of home games since, though as I am out of work in 7 weeks that might change
  22. Still digging? Too busy checking stats to watch games I guess. Totally clueless muppet
  23. Maybe all the defo ITK people on here, with a 90%+ record of being spot on with their stories before any media giant has a sniff of it, could club togther their media intro payments and sign a 10 year deal from 2016. Just think, not only truly local and supporters, but actually ordinary, paying for tickets and travel, eating pies / pick and mix and drinking pints / wine type fans. All of our fans would genuinely love the sponsors, as well as the team. The shirts would be emblazoned SWFITK, bringing even more worldwide coverage and thus ever improved commission income for all of them. I salute you all!

    Ouch!

Same here too, was such a one sided first half, could have been a lot more than 2-0. Most people around me were the same, wondering how many tickets we could get for L'pool...
  25. Bought some of their wireless speakers. Every bit as good as Sonos but less than 1/2 price. Good deal all around but if we keep up this nonsense of being a top side you can bet the price will jump up in 2016
