Thanks for these write ups. When saints lose and I haven’t seen the game I can never bring myself to watch highlights or read match reviews. But I always enjoy yours no matter how crap we’ve been. So nice one for that.

I know it’s the obvious one as it’s the most recent but keeping Pellegrino for anywhere near as long as we did has to be the worst thing we’ve done I can think of in my time as a saint. Just about everyone knew very early on he was useless and was never getting any better. Made worse by the player turnover scheme that wasn’t going to work out forever.

A brilliant video to sum up an amazing time for us. Seems like it was much longer ago than it really was.

After the last couple of days thinking about this I’d gotten quite keen on the idea of Mark Hughes taking over. Now it’s official I’m actually pretty happy about it. Whatever people think he’s a huge upgrade and I think he’ll save us and go on to manage us next year too. Good luck to him and let’s hope we can look back on these two years as a minor blip.
