I wish we were Coventry…

He should feel right at home with this kind of situation.

Are these false prophets an FFP thing?

I expect they’ll limp their way to safety. Will be interesting to see how Sunderland do though!

Going to be a very, very, long season for Burnley fans.
-
Ahhh great, thanks!

That's it! Mothballed it when he went to Liverpool, but happy to use it again now that he's basically retired. 😅

He was great on the show I linked up, exactly the MLT you want to see.
-
Still have my Mane mug with this time written on it. What a day that was!

I have to say, I really enjoyed the Early Doors show with MLT at the weekend (with guest Martin Tyler, who was absolutely brilliant). I was fascinated to learnt the following... There have only ever been two Premier League hat tricks scored by players who ended up on the losing team, and he is responsible for two of them (Oldham away and Nottingham Forest at home); His hat trick against Nottingham Forest was the first one in Premier League history to be comprised only of set pieces; He also won all three of the set pieces that he scored from; and That hat trick (in 1995) was the last one scored by a Southampton player at The Dell. Now trying to think how many hat tricks have been scored by Saints players at St Mary's.
-
We’re just trying to honour his memory by exhibiting huge possession.
-
Did I spy a cheeky hand to the ear dig at the supporters when he scored? Can’t blame him if so.
-
I think I’ve felt more life and passion for football in those last 10 minutes than I did the whole of last season. Well done boys, deserved win in my book and a tough banana skin avoided!

We are top of the league!

Phew!

Sunglasses Ron replied to Pamplemousse's topic in The Saints
He disgusts me to be honest, like him even less. -

Probably seems a bit harsh, but I can't tell you how pleased I am to see him go. Never liked him and, for me, epitomises everything bad about the club in recent years. Just an unlikeable, utterly average, player. -
I've always felt that the women's game is trying too hard to simply copy the men's one, rather than putting on a different product. Smaller pitches, smaller goals, different kits, 80 minute games, maybe even outlawing heading, would, I think, give it some really good USPs.

If you can't be happy about this new away kit then there's not much hope really is there. Looks really nice and I understand why they go down the route of a plain back. Still not buying though as I have my retro 90's version from a few years ago. 😅

I wonder if Sports Republic are relying solely on AI for their decision making: Is Jack Stephens a good player? Jack Stephens is generally considered a solid and reliable footballer, particularly for Southampton, where he's played since 2011 and currently serves as captain. While not a superstar, he's known for his leadership qualities, experience, and versatility, being able to play both center-back and right-back. His recent contract extension with Southampton until 2028 highlights the club's faith in his abilities and his value to the team.
