  1. I saw this title and cannot get GLC out of my head, ‘Guns don’t kill people rabbits do’. Thanks.
  2. We should give WR his first win of the season. Seems we like to kick start seasons. Saying this we did not give Preston a re-kick start. 1-1.
  3. Well, he actually did score a goal. Great day for him.
  4. Missed last week as was busy, but only missed a home hammering. We are back on top the table after a 0-2 away win at Watford.
  5. improbable
  6. Nice clean sheet! Big step.
  7. Got this one listed. Perfect condition. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/166357618648
  8. Hi, I did list these in an area of the forum that I do not believe many enter, and I was hoping this could stay in the main forum until the end of tomorrow when the auctions end. Provably the worse time to try and get supporters to buy old Saints shirts since League 1 on minus 10 points, but all the money will be going to my Just Giving Page Collection, which was primarily set up for the great north run, which has been and gone… like these shirts! ALL the money on this page goes to MIND nationwide and not just the local MIND on my tee shirt in the photo. So if you can please bid, if only to get some kind of money for this great cause. Thanks to everyone who has donated, it means the world to me. 😊 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/166338945269 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/166340635523 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/166340644986 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/166342201774 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/166342207799 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/166342268464 https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/kevin-sim4?fbclid=IwAR0eOvoVbl7WHcGoFf-RjhrhI6UWo_h-TeMH-YANBfnDHTc2BoTYh1Ma3sg
  9. These times would be more bearable if we actually won some silverware during the ‘good times’. Apart from the top 6/7 in the premier league ALL the other teams have and will again spend time In the 2nd tier or lower in the next 10 years. For me it is about grabbing these moments when you are on top of your game and getting to finals and winning trophies 🏆
  10. I can honestly say that the people’s republic of Carlisle do not give a flying feck about Southampton, let alone be laughing at them. There are far too many past premier league teams fecking it all up in the championship. Stoke being one of them today, Norwich another yesterday. Honestly we will spend many years like all these old premier league clubs floating around this league. The teams that have done things better in recent years are those that have completely rebuilt from lower down the league pyramid including ourselves. Leicester, Norwich, Brighton, Bournemouth, Luton, Coventry (not so much), Ipswich, Brentford. I’m sure there are others. We care as we are right in the middle of the circus 🤡. I spoke to my neighbour Villa fan this morning and he did not even know how we got on. 🤷🏽
  11. Even though I am starting to think that RM might need to be shown the exit, I do believe it is about time the board and the owners started getting stick off the crowd. After all it is them that sacked Ralph, and have since replaced him with 3 managers who were completely inept! They have also tried to buy the Man City youth team and now let RM buy players from Swansea, who sit near the bottom of the table and hardly set the championship alight last season, another club in decline. We have also sold some of our highly rated assets, that I believe if we had kept we would have been setting this league on fire on the showing against Wednesday. On top of this they have been very slow in reacting to obvious problems with the management set up, costing us time when trying to stay up last season and I can see us drifting in mid table and then changes being made when we are already cut adrift. They need to be more ruthless and decisive and make a change, because everyone else can see, or are starting to see that this manager is not right. When do they make the changes? We are already 9 points behind the leaders and that will soon be 20 if we carry on like we are. Why are the fans not protesting against the owners. They have screwed us over as a club and are draining the finances for replacements to get us back in the top flight, or at least make this season more fun and enjoyable. The time is now! Bloody do something and be proper owners and stop destroying our club!
  12. We had pretty much close to 2k fans at Sunderland and I can tell you before kick off in this game it was very positive and upbeat. Russell Martin came over and clapped us before the teams came out, and pretty much from the 6th minute of that game at 0-2 down the great start to the season flipped on its head. They will get good support again, but it will turn, if things start to go wrong again on the pitch. We need to take the lead for sure.
  13. Oh good. I have tickets for this one and Preston away. I might put a hold on any future ordering of tickets me thinks.
  14. Done.
  15. Oh there it is! 😡
  16. Building from the back? nearly 35 minutes no shots on target from each side, is an approvement from the defence. Just need to make sure the first shot from Ipswich does not go through mr invisible
  17. I will check out the NETFLIX series. 👍
  18. Well, the watching Rogers for NYJ lasted not even to the end of the game in week one. Still intrigued by NYJ to see what they can do against a strong Cowboys team. Win tonight and there might be something in the hype of a Super Bowl for them. my niners started well last week and have a tough test against the Rams tonight, but have started well.
  19. The results, table and a couple of photos from today, as we again sit on top of the championship. Shame we did not get the 3 points last week. Would be great to get into the top flight!
  20. Was not on it last weekend, but saw we lost to Sunderland at home, as I was running around near their home in South Shields. But a great response to that loss, unlike the mens team on Friday, the women pulled off the reverse of the men’s in a 1-4 away win at Reading! Fantastic result.
  21. “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results“
  22. 5 would done it.
  23. This for me. We know Holgate had a very poor game (the rest were pretty poor as well), the manager will know he had a poor game, even Holgate himself will know he had a poor game. It happens for many reasons, but as a club they will address this, see him in training and if he shows what he can do, he will get another crack of the whip and hopefully take it. That’s how football works for players in the main. There will always be fans that also target one play, and wait for them to make a mistake and slaughter them. We all have our favourites, and those that we are not sure about, but even these we only pick up and highlight the mistakes rather than the good they produce on the pitch. but every club has fans that moan, and vent and get angry. Its not up for me to deny these people who support the club not matter how tiresome it becomes. I try and stay positive. If we have a poor game, I can see where the problems are, and just hope that the management put it right. It’s up to me to ‘support’ the team and this goes for if we are 5-0 up or 5-0 down, for those 90 minutes I support them. Yeah get bloody annoyed and frustrated as the next person, but it’s football and it should be fun, or why do it?
  24. What I do expect tonight is some kind of reaction to the result 2 weeks ago. A bit passion, a bit of tempo and a lot more professional, with a plan to change things if not working. If we lose, I do not mind (I do mind) if we have given are all and have been beaten by the better team. But to roll over and have our bellies tickled no no!
  25. Why have we still not got a proper goalkeeper?
