  1. All done. An amazing event, loved it, the best half marathon out of the 5 I have done. The 60k runners in the event helps and the huge crowds. So good. Thank for the sponsorship from peeps on here I have so grateful 🥹
  2. Nothing wrong with the great border city. 💕
  3. Thank you, yes reached the target yesterday, so that has only helped. Really excited about the run. Thank you for you donation it is very much appreciated. 😊
  4. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has donated to the above. I do not think I have met any of you on here, but I am always amazed by the generosity of fellow Saints fans and those that have been impacted in one way or another through mental health and the lack of resources for it. We had a nice write up here in the local press in Carlisle, even though I would have preferred them to say father and daughter, rather than man and daughter. Thank you 😊 https://www.newsandstar.co.uk/news/23751811.carlisle-man-daughter-great-north-run-charity-mind/?fbclid=IwAR2ba3t2PEuEZneFx1H6nYHtjmgtqskyQHeRC5xeZL_sgbHOb0mw_GC37SM_aem_AfYD0KLz6KfN8jZnn9KKhdcA6dynQ3GwDmA4mFYQKfyE-KbUm_Jic5uO9QOLMmbQqFg https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/kevin-sim4
  5. This went well. Does not want to go to Boro, going to watch Carlisle v Derby! 🙄
  6. When people say PIN number.
  7. So the season kicks off on Sunday and I think it is going to be an interesting season. I always follow the 49ers and have since my teens, but also have liked the Packers for about 10 years now because of Rogers. Love this man, someone who reads the game better than anyone I know, but will now instead be keeping an eye on NY Jets because of his move there. I think the Jets will be better than they have been (not hard), but think they will lose in the play offs. Who is your team, what are you hopes. I know there was a Dolphin on here, and I have heard someone say it’s Steelers year this year, again!
  8. Far too early to tell. Will let you know come the end of October time.
  9. If we could approach the game a little more professionally, settle into the game without conceding, not concede right after scoring, just before half time, just after the break and right at the end, add in a little defending and the keeper engages brain to hand, or foot or any part of the body to stop the ball going into that net thing, it would be a good idea. If we can do this we might get a draw. Building from the back springs to mind for training maybe? 🤷🏽
  10. I’m sorry but he is just not good enough. He was not good enough in the premier league and he is not good enough at this level. We need to sort it and it is criminal that it was not put right in the window. Does not help that are defending is gash as well, from the midfield to defence. Everything about Saturday was completely wrong in the balance of the side and the mistakes made, but our keeper is is invisible, completely awful and should not be anywhere near the starting line up!
  11. Unbeaten and Sunderland next… oh!
  12. You believe there is a process? 😮 😉
  13. You never know with this lot! But a very sane and fair point.
  14. Agree with the invisible keeps we have. I have said it before and will say it again, apart from the Wednesday game we have looked very shaky, but all the changes and the transfer window only closing yesterday, he needs time to get the right starting 11 and shape. We will have a better idea come the end of October. If it is still as shambolic in midfield (defensively) and at the back then something will need to change.
  15. Oh it was a nice touch today that he came over before kick off and applauded the away fans, this because we are on a good run and looking to keep momentum, but I’m still unsure about it. Should be focusing on his team and maybe the applause at the end. I don’t know maybe I’m being harsh, but he will make a rod for his own back if we are mid table come Christmas, does he keep coming over and face the flack, or stop coming over and get flack!
  16. I seem to remember a worry point of last season when Swansea were conceding a lot of late goals. Seems to be a mental problem with focusing at the back, which is something we do not need adding to here at Southampton as we were doing that well enough without him. Late goals even though we have scored some, we have been leaking straight after scoring, just before and after the break and at the end of games (right at the start today). This would suggest we are switching off or not switching on.
  17. Well Saints never fail to give us something to talk about.
  18. I’m hoping he is still working out the system and will be for a little while yet. My main worries are the lack of tempo with our passing, and when we lose possession how quickly the opposition over run our non existent midfield and defence, oh and keeper. The fact we do not have any tempo in possession seems to transfer into lacklustre defending when we lose the ball, as everything is so laboured and slow. Let’s hope this is a one off in terms of the score line, but the signs have been there since the start of the season (first half against Wednesday excluded) the laboured passing is fine when you are winning, but when you are 2/3 down you need to mix it up.
  19. Villa lost 1-4 at Bramble Lane on September 1st in their promotion season back to top flight. I think September is worse than the start of the season because of all the changes. It’s going to take time to get the team to completely gel. I will take notice of the table come the end of October.
  20. Rude!
  21. As I said. It was a nice start to the day, until kick off.
  22. Well it started well, me and the boys met Le Tissier. Such a nice person. I said I was sorry to disturb him, and he said ‘take a seat’ talked to him for a couple of minutes and then took photos. Then the match, well what’s to say? We play so laboured, yes we knock it around nicely and keep the ball for long periods of time, but where is the injection and urgency. Because we play so laboured in possession, when we lose the ball, we are not fully on it and defend sluggishly. At this level you need to be up and at them at all times, like we were the first half against Wednesday. We played nice football but ran at them and were more direct. All in it was a very unprofessional game we played and defensively we were shocking, and gave the ball away in really bad positions. It’s sure a big wake up call.

    Whoop!

    Che Adams

Wolves must have been impressed with his failure to head the ball into an empty net, right under the cross bar, but instead miss the header and handball it in instead. That took some skills to screw that one up! It was easier to just let it drop on your head and in the goal. 🙄 👏 👏 👏
