Our local running group got slaughtered for having their run night last night as normal. 🤷🏽

What about the players? What if they do not want to play? I would have preferred the games to go ahead, and I’m glad the Hampshire game did not finish today.

I thought this would have been announced straight away? Seems odd, as there will be people that have started travelling if they have not already. I would have thought it would be an obvious call, so perhaps tomorrows games go ahead and next weekend will be cancelled. They will probable leave the announcement to as late as possible. 🤦🏻♂️ I have just seen tonight’s games are off in England and Scotland.

Just in time, as ‘Look North’ local news was about to start.

Ex players are the fucking worst. They do not seem to know the rules half the time. I do think pundits are there to try and get a debate going to be fair.

That is so soft. The referees have lost it. That was a great goal.

Born Southampton 74, moved away in 1996 and back again in 2001, with my now wife and new born via, Guildford, Cheltenham and Reading. Then moved away to Royston in 2006 where my wife grew up. We made the move up to Carlisle (where we had family living) in 2015. Love it up here. Get to the away games in the north west and north east and down to Leeds, and now Forest. Go to about 6 away games, and probably one home game when we go and visit my sister who is still in Southampton. Normally between Christmas and new year or Easter. It’s a good job because I could not afford to go every week like I did in the mid to late 90’s. Does mean you are less likely to see us win though. It has been a while. 🙄

I used to travel to a lot of games from Royston Town 2006-2015.

Should have saved it. Went far to early. Should have stood up longer. It is all split second decisions, but he went to early, and he would admit he fucked it!

We have had some great build up play, but nothing on the end of it. Far to open at the back. It is a game that I came into thinking it could go either way. Still think we have enough to come back. But next goal massive. If there is one.

I think 💰 people have to pick and choose games now. I don’t go to many but could not afford this too often with the price of living and fuel ⛽️

What a result. Looking forward to Wolves on Saturday, if my tickets make it through the postal strike!

That’s good for them, hopefully they will rise up through the league as well. 👍

On this note, don’t you think that Adams gives us so much more. The 2 goals help to see this, but he offers so much more and makes it hard for the oppos defence
-
Very true it is worth so much. Just hoping that the new set of players can gel and at least keep us in this league.
-
No we will just make Man U look good, without fail.

Bournemouth look good 😂 shame! Still not sure about the manipulation of the lines on VAR though. Looked off.

To be fair, we have gained a lot of experience at championship level from the signings over the summer, and I guess we will never know how good those players who have left would have been. I’m not going to say they would not have made the cut, but it is a completely different level now.

Full time 0-2 Charlton looked a lot sharper and we’re the better team, but after the penalty save that could have made it 0-3, we had a couple of really good chances to make it 2-1, which might have made it interesting. We have made a lot of changes over the summer and it is always going to take time for the team to gel, as well as getting used to this level. Charlton are one of the favourites for the league, but we will need to improve on that performance, I think this season could be a reality check, but hopeful for a mid table finish rather than fighting relegation. Big kick off tomorrow. Saints v Charlton at St Mary’s Stadium 12:30pm. If you cannot get along then you can watch it live on FA Player. You can watch every game live on here, but if you can, as I would, get along to watch them live at home and show your support for Southampton.

Villa fans I know up here, have had enough of their savour already.
