I am looking to travel to both of these on a Tuesday night, and if anyone would care to join me i have 3 spare seats going in my car. I live in Royston, so you will have to get to me there before I leave. Do not mind doing Oldham on my own, but Hartlepool is just a little bit to far for an on my own journey. Anyone want to come with me, please reply to this and email me sfcsim@hotmail.com Kev

Crimbo presents that really should have gone to someone else!

I got some cheese biscuit crakers from my wife's gran! Not sure why, but I did. Still gave it a 'thank you' even though I was wonder what the hell she had got them for me. Used them though for the cheese evening the Thursday after Christmas. -
Nice end to the day, a few wickets and then rain. With more rain forecast for the morning this heaps even more pressure on Aussies.

I have one guitar as well, but have never learnt to play it, and all the hours I have wasted on Guitar Hero I could be a pretty good standard by now. But I am sure when mates come round it would be pretty naff if I just stood there playing the guitar while they sat there watching! Guitar hero is better for a evening in with mates!

Anderson seems to have come of age, but he has always had it in his locker, but now WOW!!

Lets get this series sown up. I cannot believe I go back to work on Tuesday. If a Royal wedding gets a bank holiday then the days of the test match in England should be too. I do not mean tomorrow as I know that it is a bank holiday before anyone says anything. COE!!!

Yes 100% going to Sonisphere for the 3rd year in a row with the big 4 on the Friday I could not miss this. Was the height of my rock days from 1988 - 1993 so they were the big 4 back then. Now I am more into my Indie apart from the old metal/rock, so it will be the V Festival and Reading Festival for me as every year, and might also go to Wakestock again as I can get into for free. I love the summer of music! The one I cannot wait for PULP at Hyde Park on July 3rd!

I really do not think it has anything to do with the shirts. We have got a run of games that do not look to good though 9 out of 13 games away is never good, and our form on the roa is patchy to say the least, but if we want to go up then we have to start picking up points on the road, starting tomorrow.

MK Dons Home was brilliant for so many reasons, as well as making history. Now away would have to be MK Dons in the JPS as well.

Does anyone play Guitar Hero? I have 1,2,3,4 and 5. Also I have Metallica, and Warriors of Rock, and Now Aerosmith. Now I find the hours fly by when playing this, but the Aerosmith one I cannot seem to get to the hits, does anyone else have this, and if you play the Metallica one how the hell do you complete ONE?

On a completely different subject it looked *****il the injury time goal) as the 3 goals Lallana & Guly Do Prado x 2 were going to be the only goal scorers. Lallana 20 Guly 11 = 2011!! Just thought that was a little bit strange, but no worries up popped the number 9 to bag our 4th, and I cannot think of a link there!!

If anyone has a spare ticket please contact me. If you have two spare tickets also contact me. If you do not are you sure it will not be a sell out as they may come and watch us!! Will be a close game as they have found a little bit more fight these days, but if we do not win this it terrible!

I was going to say 'yes but you do not get anything for coming 4th in the Premier League' but what a stupid thing to say. I will say we are where we are and looking at the table makes me smile, until I see who is above us, and how terrible they were at SMS. You cannot argue with their home form though. Still think we are going to win this league.

Toy Story 3, and the kids are not even around!

Yes on the Video (yes video) I have of the 1988/89 season the voice over say 'Southampton top of the league and the first time they have been there since the day's of Kevin Keegan'. I was just wondering if we have ever been top of any league since and if so when as I do not remember, but someone earlier did say that we had been top of the Premier League, but do not think this has happened, as the Skates went top the season they came up with a lunchtime win over Villa. I know at the time this really got my back up!

Is this the highest league position Saints have been in since 1988/89 season? Do not think we have ever been top of the Premier League, but do remember when we were last top of Division 1, in the 1988/89 season. It was the season when I think we won our first 4 games and we were top, then we went to Arsenal and we were 0-2 up in the last 10 minutes but only drew 2-2 after 9 minutes of stoppage time! Davis broke Cockerill jaw, and we went 21 games without a win in the same season. The win in the end came in the last minute against Newcastle at the Dell with a Ruddock Pen a couple of games before this we took the lead at Hissborough in the last minute only for them to go straight up the other end and score from kick off. We were then unbeaten in April, after not winning from November - April Fools day, can you imagine this board back then going 5 months without a win, if we do not score after 5 minutes people seem like they want to top themselves! I would love to see what it looks like again to be top of the league without doing my own league table. I still think we will be top by the end of January!! We will see, but as long as we finish in the top two I could not care a less. Would be nice to be Champions though!

I stopped watching to watch the sking on Sky Sports 3!! lol
-
Great just looked at the fixtures and a 12.30 on Monday Huddersfield v Sheff Wed, this means anything but a draw and we will start our game at 3pm in 3rd place! DAM!
-
Great result, great start to the new year, clean sheet, and sitting in second place. We SHOULD be able to go on from this and charge to the top of the table by the end of January!! COYS!!
-
Tell you what I was going to watch their game tonight for a laugh, but the sking is more entertaining on Sky Sports 3!!
-
If he is good enough for a Championship team, then he is more than good enough for us, and can only make are squad stronger!
-
WooHoo, and Burley sacked!!
-
I see Charlton as the bigger threat to us though, as Colchester will fall away (AGAIN)
-
IF we can hold on to 2nd place (even though out of our hands) qnd keep a clean sheet will do a world of good for the confidence. They can smell the league title now and being 2nd will mean so much!!
