I have in good knowledge that Charles will stay, seems to have his head screwed on and would be much more valuable to us than the cash next season. He has no urgency to leave, but I’m sure if one of the top 6 came in for him he would not have much choice. I also think TBH will stay.

For some reason he seems to be a square peg trying to fit into a round hole. I cannot figure it out as he has the ability but never seems to quite fit in. Cannot see it happening now.

Koki Ogawa from Nijmegen (NEC) is a very handy player. Watched them a lot this season, but we might struggle to prize him away as they had a brilliant season and managed to make the champions league. Maybe not prolific enough with 8 in 26, but his all round play has been superb and with good supply he could do a job with Larin.

I think he has a clause that if a premier league team come in for the right money, he can leave. I may have made that up. But we cannot stand in his way if a ‘big’ club make a move for him. Would love to keep him, that would be amazing.

I for one think we are showing our intent for the coming season. I do think it is one last big push for promotion and a 2 fingers up to everyone, and this is the best way to do it. It really does have a rallying war cry about it and I think the players are right behind the ‘let’s give it our all and finish the job”. All the vibes coming out of the club ‘We do not have to sell”, “unfinished business” “a team to get the supporters off their seats”. This with the signings today and the extensions to contracts that have been mentioned. I do believe the club realise that if we can keep most the team together, get rid of the deadweights, and sign a few more then we could win the league next season. Let’s face it if we did keep the squad from last season we would be top 2. All is very positive, but as a Saints fan I am of course waiting for something to go terribly wrong. But here’s hoping. Tell you what today has felt good after the last few weeks. Fingers up at every one…

In a way I am happy they have come out for statements, but on the other hand it means we have to go through all a media circus 🤡, hopefully one last time. Does Tonda deserve a second chance? Absolutely fabulous time in Berlin. What an amazing place it is. Was so easy to get around with brilliant public transport. I would recommend it to anyone. We got upgraded to a suit and the room was more like an apartment. Also we could not get the aircon working, thought it was us, but they agreed and threw in free breakfast every morning as well as the mini bar! Been on 2 bus tours and a boat tour. A Third Reich walking tour and the eye opening and mentally draining Topography of Terror. Went up the telecom tower to see the panoramic view of the city. finished off the trip with Metallica at the Olympiastadion. Went to a Mexican, a steak house and and Indian restaurant for food and it was spot on. Had some fantastic ice cream as well. It has been great, one more night and an easy one tomorrow before the flights back tomorrow night. Thanks for all your info it was really good and valuable. Did not do the sex club… Mrs Dr.Who? Was not up for it!

Was saying earlier when loads of Palace fans were on our flight to Berlin that it is much easier to win the lower level European trophy than a domestic one. West Ham winning a couple of years back, a semi final this year between Villa and Forest with Villa winning it, and now Palace looking like winning in Europe today as it stands. There are some dross sides in Europe outside of the elite that play in the champions league, but this has only became a wider gap with so many more teams making the champions league, meaning that there are more in Europe that are very easy to beat in the European lower competitions.

Fantastic stuff. We will get some of these booked in. Just spent the first night on the 15th floor of our hotel chatting and drinking looking out over the east of the city! Very quiet on the main road in and out of Berlin! picked up some leaflets in the hotel and there was this one! Are you kidding me!

I’m off to Berlin today any recommendations while I am out there with Mrs Dr.Who? I have tickets for Metallica while out there on the Saturday, which will be the 14th time seeing them. We return late on Sunday. 😃 🇩🇪
