Yes they should stop spouting this rubbish. It is just fancy saying. Nearly all recruitment in football for managers is done on past records. Results, points per game, how much they are given to spend. All data. You need a right fit, where you interview and see if they have the same vision.

Not sure about Carrick he did ok with Boro but they seemed to have flatlined a bit. Now they look like they have kicked on under new management. Yeah, now you mention it, I believe he was talking about retiring? Or did I dream that. He was cooked because the lack of support and the fact he could not get anymore out of the team. If he was given the backing he may have kept us up. I believe even then we were talking about needing a striker!

Ralph should never have been sacked, he worked miracles with the budget he had, which just how much of a miracle shows now! Also his best mate is just up the road in Bristol. Ralph steadied the ship in 2018, managed to get us to the top of the table. My concern was the way we just collapsed in the 2 x 9-0 defeats. But all in a pretty smart and passionate manager who may have got a little over emotional at times, but sod it why not, at least it showed he cares. Saying this, we did sack him and many on here wanted him sacked, so I am not sure if it would be the right move. I would be happy and take him back with open arms.

He is one of the early runners. I cannot see it, but he really does not have anything to lose with the state we are in. He would need to change and not be so stubborn, but he cannot do this. I have no doubt he could do a job for us, but I think we need someone with more experience than him.

So they have acted reasonably quickly, now the 2nd part a new manager quickly and one with experience at this level or higher. Let’s see what they come up with this time. I’m not that confident, but they have acted quickly.
