  1. Tottenham Hotspur have held talks with Southampton over a move for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg after the midfielder made it clear he wants to join the north London club.Hojbjerg is expected to complete a move to Spurs, despite the fact Everton had a bid of around £25 million accepted by Southampton. Other than the confidence inside Tottenham that they will sign Hojbjerg, Everton also believe the Dane will team up with Jose Mourinho and may even withdraw their offer. It remains to be seen whether or not Spurs can immediately match Everton’s bid, but Hojbjerg’s desire means that a deal is likely to be agreed with Southampton. Tottenham right-back Kyle Walker-Peters is on loan at Southampton and could make that move permanent with the fee going towards Hojbjerg’s switch in the opposite direction.Qualification for the Europa League could also free up some funds for Mourinho without the necessity to sell players before bidding for Hojbjerg. With Hojbjerg’s contract entering its final 12 months and the player making it clear he will not sign a new deal, Southampton have little choice but to find an agreement to sell him.Seventh-placed Spurs must overtake Wolverhampton Wanderers in sixth on the final day to be sure of qualifying for the Europa League. Should Arsenal win the FA Cup, then seventh would not be good enough. But if Chelsea lift the trophy then seventh place would take one of the Europa League spots. Mourinho wants Hojbjerg to play as a deep-lying midfielder and potentially allow him to play both Gionvani Lo Celso and Tanguy Ndombele. Ndombele has barely featured for Mourinho since the restart, but it is understood he could get more chances with Hojbjerg operating as the deepest-lying player in the middle of the park. That would cast doubt on the regular involvement of Harry Winks, although Mourinho will needs greater depth to his midfield if Spurs are to improve on this season. Eric Dier was used as a holding midfielder by previous manager Mauricio Pochettino, but Mourinho has moved the former England international back to the centre of his defence.
  2. It's a shame Bowen went to West Ham
  3. We have a big name, Who is a striker.. At his prime age... Banging them in....
  4. 10Million is a good price, Lets not piss off Spurs more than we should eh.
  5. They wont overspend, And they wont bring in loads of players, That isn't how Bielsa works, He will targets about 3/4 players to add to the team he trusts, And largely go witht he squad he had last year. Leeds will have a good season.
  6. I can see them getting a point against Arsenal.
  7. I'm holding off on this until our game tomorrow, Where not mathematically relegating Bournemouth with a win, the goal difference will be there undoing.
  8. Are you joking me?! That was his first premier league start, And you expect him to be prime Bertrand. What do you expext from a youth player, playing in the prem... He was concerned about making a mistake, And when he had dogshit vestergaard next to him, It's not like he could bomb forward and leave a even bigger gap on the left. Which im sure you'd ridicule too, If Brighton had scored from coming infield or floating a cross in from the left hand side for murray to gobble up.
  9. I think that he definately offers alot of what Ralph demands from his players, Especially in the middle of the park where you need to be able to trust someone to bust a gut all game. His all round game has improved too, I think he could be a good asset, But i wonder whether the player feels he would like to move on, And or, Whether Ralph feels that there is better out there. IM deffo in the give him a shot group, As i feel he could be a good player for us, But we shall see. Thanks for the update.
  10. Was Ralph asked today in the embargoed section of his press conference about Reed? I'd watch myself but i'm stuck at work.
  11. Fantastic research sir.
  12. With one year left, I feel we are going to sell him, he won't want to be a bitpart player here. Pleased to see him thrivefor Fulham.
  13. Tbh I'd be quite happy to sign KWP for 12/15 Million, he is a known quality and someone that Ralph trusts. He also will have a head start with out system and how to play. That is going to.make him quite pivotal to us next season, he is still young also and will improve. I think we just bring him in, I think he is fantastic.
  14. I think long term I wonder whether the new guy coming in will be competing with Bednarek to partner Stephens. Stephens is a ball playing CB and one that gets things going from the back, I don't know whether or not thst is something that Ralph will use, At least until he gets a GK who can distribute well. But that isn't a huge priority right now.
  15. I too think he hasn't been his usual self, not to say it is bad, Just not currently in form. Tonight we missed Moussa, I feel he could of got over the line.
  16. At the end or the day, if we truly want him; we will get him. Our wage structure will surely blow Rennes ou5 of the water
  17. He is also on 150K a week...
  18. I think the club offered lower than the released clause which even includes the bonuses etc. Still it's a joke to take the piss out of Vallladolid like that though.
  19. It wouldn't be 12 in one lump sum anyway, no club ever pays a player outright.
  20. Haggling over a 12Million release cause, Speaks volumes.
  21. For this game I'd personally like to see Ralph tweak the formation a little, Still in keeping with our play style, but a little more defensive., i think 4 1 4 1 should be adopted here; Macca; KWP Bednarek, Stephens, Bertrand; Romeu; Armstrong, PeH, JWP, Redmond; Ings.
  22. why is this a thread, Everyone knows what it means, and signifies. Just opens up discussion for racists. End.
  23. Sounds like we can't even afford him anyway.
  24. Before the game I was really nervous, and then Norwich started really brightly. We couldn't even get hold of the ball, and string one pass, i was fearing the usual worse. But we greatly got a foothold and completely dominated. Our players habe so much energy, crazy we didn't make out first sub until 80! Ralph has done a very good job.
