  1. Glad it's not just me then, I had to do the same for Leeds a fortnight ago. David Luker sorted my refund within 10 minutes of my e-mail though.
  2. Make it the 5th, then I'll have a very happy birthday!
  3. ... Skates Aid!!! Seriously, does anyone really want to help them out, or are we content with laughing at them like they did to us...?
  4. How bloody ridiculous.
  5. That'll be our half a dozen who were at the back. Agree with the slow OWTS - needs to be given two full rounds slow before we kick in at normal speed. Oh, and normal speed does not mean super-duper fast speed - usually goes from one extreme to the other, which is just crazy!
  6. Two things: Parking: There was plenty of pre-warning about the difficulties getting out of the place. We had to wait about half an hour for a shuttle bus, but it was organised and moving, so no complaints. Also, today's crowd was about 3k more than usual, which was obviously going to be a factor. Traffic flow: There are actually plans for a junction to come off the A12 to the ground, however it's turned out that the ground was completed before the roads have been done. Next time complainers, do your research properly, and it'll make your day much more enjoyable and hassle free. HTH.
  7. I got a tour round the Macca garage and associated areas at Spa '08. Wander down the pit lane, access all behind the scenes as well. 'Twas fun. :-)
  8. Plenty of swedes in Asda last night at about 22:00 - and I don't mean of the foreign person variety. Got over there about 21:15, still fairly busy then, then popped across to Tesco (sorry Bungle, vouchers to use!) at Millbrook which was pretty quiet considering. Back home just after 11, all shopping done. Result.

    Snow

Sunny in Shirley, but bloody cold. Rubbish.
  10. I ordered mine online as student, saved myself £120. All through a link I hadfor Manchester Uni Apple Store. Bargainous.
  11. Absolute flaming joke. Actually glad I didn't watch it now. And yes, I was watching The X Factor instead!!! Two British F1 World Champions in the last two years, and neither of them have won SPOTY in their respective Championship years. Meh.
  12. The matchday Echo sellers aren't being allowed to sell it outside the ground before the game tomorrow either. For selling on a matchday they get use of a season ticket that the Echo has paid for. The sellers aren't sure if they'll be allowed in tomorrow as a result of this - my parents are possibly facing being denied entry or even kicked out! Could be fun...
  13. I get both days off, and I don't need to worry about trains. All good. Likewise. Was a good day, very sociable place. Think we outnumbered the Walsall somewhat!
  14. Ah, but Boxing Day isn't a bank holiday this year, as it is on a Saturday. Hence the aforementioned Boxing Day Bank Holiday being on the next working day after Boxing Day. Which is the 28th. Which is the day of the above mentioned game. Equally HTH.
  15. I already have two, still boxed. I rock.
  16. House party.
  17. My home town, also weekender here - despite the fact it's my dad's birthday that day. Very muchly looking forward to it. And square pizza.
  18. Huzzah. Bring on London Town.
  19. It's new, and a bit blue.
  20. Nice one, cheers matey. You gonna be going then?
  21. 3 ordered here this morning too.
  22. Scrap that, found it - The Drysalters - and according to FGG it's shut now. Saying that, I have just had a quick scan on Google, and other stories are saying it's open and been refurbished... confused.com!!!
  23. Pub down the road from the ground - can't honestly remember the name of it, but they let us park there a few years ago...
  24. If I recall correctly, the only thing you'll lose is Visual Voicemail - which is obviously no great loss if, like me, you don't use it!
  25. You'll just have to sit outside the ground with your alcopops then.
