    Rain

That'll be the one I was talking about. Got home just after half 8. Thought it was a bit dark down our road as I pulled in, saw the street lights were out, and then realised the houses all looked a bit dark too! Came back on just before half 9. Good job my lappy was fully charged!
  4. lostprophets, Union Chapel for the Mencap Little Noise Sessions a couple of weeks ago. Amazin.

    Rain

I was more peed off with finding I had no electric when I got home tonight. The rain is also a mighty pain in the arse.
  6. Brighton - 63.5 miles Brentford - 70.3 miles Yeovil - 75.8 miles And yes, I have just been sad enough to look that up on AA Route Planner. (All distances from SMS.)
  7. And I'm in Manchester for a gig the night before that game... I just hope that if we do get to the 6th round, we get a northern team away!!
  8. Exactly why we didn't go there!
  9. lol, the only reason you lot chose TGI's was for the waitresses! At least I managed to down a ****tail in there before the game - not often you can associate football matches with ****tails!
  10. Indeedly. No excuse not to do the four corners pub crawl though.
  11. Little Buddha is Shirley is good, much prefer Kachina just down the road.
  12. I hope you're joking.
  13. My hoodie is still wearing mine, but I am no longer wearing the hoodie. Shame we drank the bar dry of Boddingtons and Diet Pepsi at Sedgefield, could've done with some hot food as well. Jackson's Wharf good for food, The Causeway good for drinks and atmosphere. Top day out all round.
  14. The Lallana song is the old Reuben Agboola chant.
  15. Traitor.
  16. lol. See ya there mister.
  17. I'm leaving to make the long trip up in a bit. Races at Sedgefield first though! Gonna be a cracking day, just hope the weather holds out and the boys do us proud.
  18. It does depend on what service is used in the sending country, and how bulky/ heavy it is. No different to the postal system over here. Royal Mail can and do deliver large/ heavy items. Clearly the service that it was sent by wasn't one that Royal Mail deal with when it reaches the UK. As an aside, back to my courier comment, what I said isn't strictly true, as TNT deal with bulk mailshots. They collect them, they distribute them to the appropriate destinations across the country, but who actually delivers them to the customer? Royal Mail. And businesses think they're getting a better service by paying extra for a company to pass their mail onto Royal Mail to deliver, rather than just giving RM the business directly, thus saving them time and money. Odd.
  19. If anyone's got any tips for Sedgefield on Tuesday, let us know. Ta.
  20. Err, no they don't. Royal Mail deal with items posted using Royal Mail services, and ParcelForce deal with items posted using ParcelForce services. Anything sent from abroad to the UK, unless posted with a separate courier service, will be handled by Royal Mail/ParcelForce when it reaches the UK.
  21. I don't even understand how they calculate their fees, and I'm not even gonna attempt to. As the only reason it's late is down to the customs fee, not their failure to deliver, I'd hazard a guess that you won't get much joy complaining about it to ParcelForce. If, however, the potential of this situation occurring wasn't made clear when the item was posted, or at least covered in the T&C's for the service used, then I'd say there would be a decent case for your girlfriend to put in a complaint, or maybe even some sort of claim. All depends on the small print, basically.
  22. lol, anyone would think Wurzel's committed murder or something... what's the worst that's actually happened as a result of it? Oh noes, a few people feel a bit silly. I'm sure there are more pressing matters in your life that you feel the need to rant about than this. Move on...
  23. Will depend on the Terms and Conditions of the particular service used with USPS or whichever US company sends the item over to the UK for delivery, as the service was initially provided and paid for in the States. Can't comment on the fees that have been mentioned as I've never had any first hand experience of them, but can tell you that ParcelForce do have the right to hold the item until the customs charge has been settled, regardless of the service used.
  24. You'll be too drunk to notice what he's drinking.
  25. That doesn't surprise me. I'm sure we can arrange something.
