You can go and sit at another clubs ground, but you know it won't be the same, and your heart won't be there... Have a mate, a mad Stoke fan who "gave up on them", the year before their promotion to the Prem, and bought a Season Ticket for Arsenal instead. Hopefully it'll work out the same way here...!
-
perhaps my comment should have read I would HOPE that they will be!! Rather than formal talks, would hope the consortium would be discussing internally / getting their house in order ready to hit the ground running with Fry on Monday. Jeez - why is this always so seeming easy for other clubs, yet so difficult for us?!
-
I'm pretty sure they will be!
-
Agreed, at least it gives the chance for someone else to come in and buy us again when we're "back on our feet"...
-
And if this is the 'preferred bid' - what does it say about the others?! Worrying indeed, if they can't satisfactorily prove their financial guarantees for the club purchase, what does it say about their ability to invest in the future? I was really hoping this "mystery foreign bid" (as mentioned by Echo) might come to light, but it seems Pinnacle are still the #1 option at present.

Murty certainly, decent defender and leadership qualities that we lack.
-
TGIF... (sort of).

For a professional services firm that seems reasonable (I work for one who also deal in Administration and we'd be way higher than that). They are a business, not a charity. Now please move on...

Aah, but a good Captain would never absolve himself of his ultimate responsibility, or try to blame others. Perhaps then they're not so similar after all... =

Good analogy. In which case... =

Lowe makes an even bigger mammary gland of himself...
SW11_Saint replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Saints
Just shows Lowe in his true colours again - that toxic mix of ignorance and arrogance; unable to take any blame himself, and more than willing to assign blame to anyone and everyone else. Good riddance to him. He has overseen our darkest moments as a club, but hopefully now the only way is up... -
Ignore him, he's just trying to agitate and bad mouth Pinnacle, or anyone else involved in the bidding process. Yawn. No doubt he's praying that his hero Rupert "2 relegations, 1 administration" Lowe will step in with a bid - of course, there will be nothing wrong with that one...

Fry fiddles (not in the corrupt sense) while Rome burns
SW11_Saint replied to OldNick's topic in The Saints
Oh lordy, how many times. It's A fact, without doubt, but not ALL of the facts. Unless you are friends with all interested parties, and have been told all of the salient information of each bid. Hypothetically speaking of course. -

It isn't facts at all - just a theory based on the very limited information that is "out in the open" (if we can trust that, which I doubt) at the moment. The only person who knows all of the facts is Mr. Fry. Fact. -

They have the facts about their own bids, but only Fry & Co. have complete information... -

I do, because no one bar Mr. Fry and his team have the FACTS. Unless you and Nickh do, in which case, care to share? -

So, you have inside information about the negotiations do you? PS isn't it about time you changed your "location" (or at least changed 'except' to 'accept')? -

And it's not based on anything like FACTS! -

Do you, Guided Missile/19Canteen etc. have some sort of axe to grind? Just let the guy do his job FFS and then we'll find out who is going to take over. It helps no ones mood to spread doom and gloom or criticise the administrator. We won't know anything until the time is right - it's not as if we're talking about buying a pot of paint, these things take time and are, by their nature, complex. Have patience... PS in answer to my own question, of course you and GM/19C have an axe to grind - you are continually trying to smokescreen criticism away from Lowe, the imbecile who took us to relegation AND administration. FYI it doesn't work! -
What a ray of sunshine you are. Why not keep schtum until the announcement is made. No point thinking about anything until it happens - and it WILL happen. If you want to vent some frustration, why not focus on the imbecile who got us into this ridiculous state in the first place...?

Pinnacle Led Bid Latest- Premiership in Five Years
SW11_Saint replied to John B's topic in The Saints
To what though? I don't think he'll get many "bigger" offers than us in the forseeable future. He does of course want to manage Inter one day, if they go for him after us great - it'll mean he's done a damn fine job! -

Guided Missile/19 Canteen would probably rather that - but then he is a die-hard Rupert "two relegations/one administration" Lowe fanatic, so draw your own conclusions! -

Worse than Portvliet, Wigley, Gray or Wotte you mean? -

But it does make you want to believe in it all over again. Shame it was such a false dawn. Oh well, let's not assume that the new guys are going to be the same, and frankly, no one can do a worse job than Lowe, so that's one positive already!
