I think thats pretty constructive to be fair. Wasnt it only last week people were saying he was at fault for one of the Man U goals because he completly nissed a header? FWIW I think he's a good player, def in our top two at the moment. Would hope to see Forren partner him in the not to distant future (takibg the assumption we buy to improve first 11, not buy to add squad players).

So what did it actually mean?
-
Christ, look at West Broms form! They are lucky they had a good start to the season!
-
So for approx every 14 tackles he gets a yellow? I'm sure thats a lot better ratio than alot of midfielders. Doesnt Paul Scholes get a yellow pretty much per tackle lol!
-
Would be interested to know the % of yellow cards against tackles made, I'm sure its minuscule!
-
Ive not read the whole topic but LOL at QPR paying Chris Samba 100k a week! If they get relegated their screwed!

I was surrey saint as I was at surry uni then, but I posted then as much as I do now so not very memorable... I do remember asking for interview advise on there and getting pretty decent responses.

Did anyone also see that one set of our advertising boards are in Chinese/Japanese (apologies for ignorance). I can assume that has been included specifically for our (attempted) growth in the far Eastern market. Anyone know what they translate to?

My current rental (Limehouse so slightly East but within 30mins of Waterloo) was round on Gumtree and we did it completely privately with the house owner and completely avoided all estate agent fees. I'd suggest having a check on there (although alot of estate agents also post adds). Check out Zoopla as a good property rental tool. I'm biased but I'd go East (no further than zone two though so Isle of Dogs, Bow, those kind of areas). You get alot for your money, good transport links (Jubilee to Waterloo generally very easy). As for general rental advise: -When you view a property it will likely have alot of furniture, some of which is the tennant, some of which the home owner. Get a confirmed list of whats included and whats not -On the flip side of that if you want to bring furniture (bed, couch for example) and the home owner as already provided you can usually push to have it removed -Check window fittings for gaps/whether it is double glazed. You will get an idea here of how well it will retain temp during the winter/how noisy roads will be -Check things like lights, ovens, fridges etc that they work - if they don't ensure its written into contract to get replaced -Check water pressure from showers, if your all blokes it doesn't matter to much but still worth a check -Check mattress quality, if its poor you can request a new one (potential long shot but worth a try) -Check your phone signal. Whilst trivial its a ball ache to be in a property where you haven't got phone signal -Check distance from tube/buss routes. You may think when walking wioth your mates its fine but when your rushing for work and the distance to the tube is 15mins in the pouring rain, then its a different matter -Enquire if they have a BT line -Enquire the council tax rate -Ask current tenants what they spend rough;y on bills -Check for marks on all surfaces, furniture and make sure this is reflected in the itinery -Check your notice period, is it 6 months or 1month -Never accept price offered. If its on for 300/week offer 250. You'll usually end up meeting some where in the middle

This is now a sticky, have we signed him or just very close?

Didnt one of the players say what he does it training is at another level but its only Adam thats on the same wave length? As much as people say theres a period where he needs to get used to English football, I think the counter is that the team needs to get used to how he plays. On a side, he wins world player of the year in FM by 2019 - not that, that should be taken to mean anything.

As for all red I can see what poster is saying, however no other teams in the league have the style of kit we are using this season, two have red and white stripe, that's the point I was making. As for brands being more 'attractive' than others, if this wasn't important for companies people wouldn't spend buvket loads yearly on creating new logos, designs, colour scheming to make them more attractive. Think apple as an example, part of their appeal is the style/colour of the phone. Aesthetically pleasing products can make a big difference (in my opinion)
-
And by red I mean mostly red (very thin white stripes)
-
Watching the Sunderland game now and thinking how similar their kit (including sponsorship position) is to our classic red and white. Stoke also play in same kind of colours. Is our new red number a deliberate move by the club to create a new individual identity, and improve our brand attractiveness? If this is the case is red and white assigned to the history books and the new style what we can expect in the future?

My Team: GK - Cousin Louis the Monkey LB - Micky (low center of gravity, good pace) RB - CB - Tigger (good aerial ability) CB - Foh-Horn-Leg-Horn (big unit, wouldn't chicken away from a tackle) LM - Road Runner (Pace) RM - Speedy Gonzales (Pace) DMF - Popeye (Wouldn't wanna mess with him) AMF - Baby Herman (good dribbler) CF (Target Man) - Goofy (Hight) CF - Bugs Bunny (No reason, just think he would be good) Manager - Marvin the Martian (Master strategist)

This statement kinda annoys me. Whilst I don't deny in the slightest its true how does an up and coming manager have anyway of establishing himself? Any player in the world would play for Alex Ferguson now but when he fist started out at Man U he was just a bloke from Aberdeen who won the Sottish title with them - probably not dissimilar to Adkins record at Saints. What Ferguson had was a influx of top quality academy players, and a few big name players. He coached them into a successful team, won honers and built his reputation. That starting position doesn't sound too dissimilar to Adkins potential position now. Also from a young (English) player perspective I would find our Nige much more approachable than a big name who they may be to 'awe struck' to talk honestly too (that is completely opinion though, and I appreciate a sweeping statement).

Whats with all these random hyperlink to seemingly unlinked articles? On topic, i think Boruc will come good, needs a bit of support but his record and experience speaks for itself. I think he's the kind of player that needs to feel 'loved' by the fans, and if he does will put in the performance. Let him be the maverick we all love and other teams loath!

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/southampton/3489097.stm Rupert the rare, the future Head of the FA, what a difference a year makes for poor Rupert.....

So with the Adam injury theres been lots of discussion on who should deputise for him. I've seen no mention of Fox. From what Ive seen of him his main strengths are set pieces - crossing, free kicks etc - ideal attributes for a midfielder. He is also a defender so you would hope would track back/cover Shaw?
-
I think the order of fixtures is the most interesting variable. Had we had our Nov/Dec run in at the start of season and start of season run now (maybe similar to what West Ham are about to face) but the results were the same would people be of the same opinion (NA's doing alright as were now in some form) or would people be saying now that we are in bad form, NA is clueless, we've lost heavily 3/4 games in a row etc etc?

Q What would you be doing if you were not a football manager A Making love to my wife LAD!

I just read the latest Sporting Spotlight on BBC: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20002524 And didnt realise Mikael Silvestre was without a club. Surely he could do a short term job at left back, offer some well needed coverage and his experience of top level domestic and European football could only be of benefit to the likes of Shaw and our other young players. He is currently maintaining his fittness at United.
