  1. I am doing very well in the mobile lite version (won the League in my first season). Whilst this was fun perhaps slightly unrealistic (or I'm just amazing). Also the wonderkid 'scouter' is great but feels like a bit of a cheat - it pretty much tells you the young players with the most potential, which kind of eliminates the fun of finding a gem through scouring lower leagues/foreign countries etc etc.
  2. Im gonna leave early whilst filming it on my selfie stick.
  3. Gives a year for JRod to find his feet again, then us another year to replace JRod As for Pelle, it would be lovely for a top player to actually see out their career with us. Forwards get such a cult following at clubs it is always them leaving which hurts the most. I was devastated when Lambert left as I thought we'd be his last club (although I can understand why he did) - arent there any decent players who want to play for their boyhood club Southampton..........
  4. Happy 21st birthday to JWP, don't know if he'll start today but if he does let's hope he celebrates with a goal!
  5. I need Pelle to do something, he's my captain in fantasy football!
  6. What I found unbelievable was season ticket prices, Arsenal something like 2.5grand. Barcelona on the other hand is 90pound!!!!
  7. He's be great hosting the clubs corporate guests!
  8. With Pelle 31 this year we probably need to start thinking about succession planning over the next couple of years. Who do people think can adequately take over the lone striker/target man role. In my opinion me need someone big, good first touch, can be a playmaker but who will still score 15+ goals a season. Is anyone ready who we already have on the books: - JRod - is lone striker his natural position, he's very different to Pelle but Martial is maybe similar to Jay and plays lone striker - Jumani (spelling) - haven't seen much of but again looks more of a pacey run on to flick ins kind of player - Sam Gallagher - has the hight and seems to play a typical Pelle role but still very young, not sure he will be ready to be the main man for a few more years So based on the above to we need to look a bit more outside the club, people like Charlie Austin, Adam Campbell at Newcastle, or that young Chlsea lad. I'm sure there's some very good foreign options to, or anyone from the recent international?
  9. Can someone remind me, what age was heart signed for City, and what age did they decide to put faith in him as number one?
  10. Bales first few seasons as Spurs were deemed poor (didn't he have a year of only being on a Spurs losing side) - he came good though as I think Shaw and Chambers will do.
  11. Is anyone bothered 3 pre seasons against European teams 0 wins and quite a few conceded? Backline worries me at the moment.
  12. Beattie against the Mancs at Saint Mary's, scored in the last minutes to give a 1-0 win!
  13. Was he not the one in the sit up shot nearest to the camera?
  14. agreed, but my concern is that if any of them have a good/breakthrough season (I'm think JWP here) what's the chance that we sell high then replace foreign? Going by current history, it seems high to me!
  15. Caveat, this is not a negative post, just interested in people's view: In the last two years we are seeing more and more our English talent which made up the majority of our team being replaced by foreign imports: Lambert -Pelle Lallana - Tadic Clyne (potentially) - Cedric I for one had a sense of pride that we were a club with a core of English players with potential of having strong England representation in the future. I also acknowledge that a few of the names above are maybe upgrades on what we had. However are we seeing this as a victim of our own success. Are we unable to blood young English players as easy as we did in the lower leagues and instead need proven players (whereby foreigners are generally cheaper). Or is this a result of having foreign managers with better knowledge of other leagues, whereas before we had English managers with knowledge of English league football. I tested to hear thoughts, and essentially does it matter. If we are getting better players are we bothered where there from, or do people (like me) still have some patriotism where they like to see English players playing for their club?
  16. Kasper schmeichael please! Was really hoping Leicester would go down so we could get him cheaper. Brilliant young keeper and commands his box (ooh err) well!
  17. Not fussed about Lallana, Lambert would have been a nice option off the bench
  18. Any thoughts on Kasper S (Leicester) for goal. Good enough to cover for FF and enough potential to push him as No1 when he comes back. He's the right age as well.
  19. How about Linegaard from Man Utd - must be down the pecking order now Valdes has joined. contract expires in 2016 so could come on the cheap.
  20. Think to do, tie down contracts for Cork and Clyne. If we're thinking europe at any level we need squad depth so look at some decent level players in each position who can play in cups or lower quality teams (unfortunately we can't be at Chelsea's level with two world class players in each position).
  21. Back to winning ways, shame we didn't play like this against buvket and banked 6 points before the next lot of tough games. Hopefully this still means top 6 is on the cards!
  22. My only concern is that hunter looks pretty integral to the set up. Why he would consider leaving knowing the set up we have does baffle me a bit (and I'm dure for that kind of staff member we could match wages offered by tottenham)
  23. I would prefer Joel Campbell from arsenal, should be available for about 7mill
  24. Nigles return!!!!
