  1. I haven't named them because I don't know who they are.
  2. I think they were offered a free one but just laughed and declined
  3. Both the people I spoke to were mayor in the 80's I think so perhaps it was abolished at a later date?
  4. I heard the other day that ex mayors of southampton get free season tickets, now I can't confirm that this is true or not I can only say that the person who told me was related to one of the old mayors and I did also hear this about 12 years ago from a woman who bought my old house (she, being the daughter of an ex mayor) I don't want this turning into a cortese bashing thread as there is obviously some long standing arrangement with the club and council etc which pre dates the reign of the liebher family. My question is does anybody else know of any other public figures who are entitled to these perks or who else do you think should be given the 'key to the club'? (apart from prominant ex players/managers who IMO deserve some recognition)
  5. Yep,and if you carry on with that attitude I'll give you a Chinese burn
  6. So which of you fukwits are going to own up to buying the new brizzle kit in the saints shop today?
  7. Overall I am happy with how the club is being run, although I would love it to go back to the way it was in the 70's and 80's I realize that football has moved on and it is now a giant money making machine that will steamroller anything that stands in the way of it earning a buck and that includes fans who want to have polls about how their club is being run. Cortese is just doing his job and making sure that we are not just playing keep up but actually competing so that we don't lose out, some people may not like it but that's the way it is and there's nothing we can do about it as the club is in the hands of a private family......I can hear some of you saying that we could vote with our feet and not goto matches, you are free to do that but there is a long list of people willing to fill the void. You can't please everybody, but IMO you have to say that cortese is doing a great job as he has delivered stability, finance,a decent set of players and premiership football.......you can't argue with that I suppose. I don't really see the fascination with people who want more information from the club I'm afraid.
  8. I'm not a shirt buyer myself but if I was a wouldn't take that as a gift mush
  9. It doesn't seem on here that there are too many that have been rejected but as this forum obviously doesn't represent a fair cross section of the fan base there could be loads of people rejected,I know 2 others that have been rejected that don't post on here. I contacted zebra but had a standard reply which I was expecting tbh,it seems they are so automated that there is no scope for common sense, liaising with the club to find out about previous payment history is too much to ask I suppose.
  10. Ha ha he's fat and plays golf but the money part is a myth
  11. No always paid on time no problems and had 4 tickets on finance for a couple of years.
  12. I'll sort something out, just curious if anybody else has had problems? Wish I'd applied for a renewal sooner though so I would of had a couple of weeks to sort an alternative rather than a couple of days but didn't expect to get knocked back tbh. **** happens I suppose
  13. Yes,I know it was kept 'in house' last season but I've had finance for season tickets when it was offered a few years back without problems so obviously something has changed.....I'm no longer deemed the right person by the looks of it.
  14. None apart from I didn't score enough points, even though I've used finance for tickets since its been available. All I can guess is, a change of finance company = different credit score calculator I've had problems trying to renew online so decided to go down to the ticket office, now I've got 3 days to conjure up £750 All donations welcome
  15. Ha ha I just have for no apparent reason Anybody else?
  16. Never been a fan of the motivational ****** I prefer to belittle people, put them down and occasionally give Chinese burns, nipple twists and purple nurples......I find this usually gets results. Adkins is a pussy probably bullied by his mrs.
  17. Perhaps I should get around to writing a book.
  18. I don't know why England and the FA are given space and time on this forum......who really gives a **** about England when the national team is supposed to be made up of the best English players in the country picked by a manger who is not out of touch with the modern game left alone to do his job without interference from individual members of the FA who have their own agendas. The England setup causes more problems for smaller clubs because it unsettles players,it breeds a culture of 'you won't play for England regardless of how good you are unless you are playing at a one of the top 6 clubs of a more fashionable club'.......you don't really believe that wellbeck,Defoe, sturridge or any of the other average players in the England would get a sniff if they played for us,Norwich, stoke or WBA do you? England is a joke and unless the culture changes then we will win **** all and I'm glad about that.
  19. England are awful,I hope we get our arses kicked at every opportunity and then perhaps the FA will wake up,get rid of the dinosaur Roy and get rid of all the fookin useless ****s like wellbeck,Defoe and all the other overpaid ponces who only get in the team because they sit on the bench for one of the 'big' clubs. Here's an idea....modern day football is full of stats so why not pick the England team based on stats rather than 'jobs for the boys' and 'who you play for'.
  20. Through work I have had contact with a company that is involved with SFC and they have hinted to me that some players have had photos taken in the new kit,one is believed to be gaston.......don't shoot the messenger!
  21. Most on here would agree that saints could charge what they liked and we would still buy tickets.....the problem is most of us have been going to watch saints since we were little kids (my dad took me when i was 4 so 42 years in my case),followed saints all over the country and Europe and its not an easy thing to just give up. There are obviously some exceptions,if you move away,if its a toss up between paying your mortgage, eating, buying the kids some clothes or buying a season tickets/tickets then surviving life is always going to come first or it should. Even in the past when I couldn't afford a season ticket I've always managed to go to most games so one way or another SFC get a fair whack of money from me and so it goes on. Some of you might not think you're getting value for money but how do you know that until the final whistle is blown?....I say you name me one other attraction in southampton that attracts 30,000+ people every fortnight?....so it seems whatever the cost it still remains extremely popular and you can't argue with that.
  22. I'm happy with that my 2 work out at £49 cheaper than last season......can't complain.
  23. Solent stated there was unclear information about his omission after the game
  24. I saw kelvin, lallana, hooiveld, shaw, puncheon and Morgan slip so that's half the team......there may have been more that I missed. Watering the pitch didn't do us any favours if the idea was to nullify stoke.
  25. Perhaps your house is just sh!te mate
