I would be doing exactly the same if I was cortese,keep him in limbo until we are safe in the prem so that he can't be employed by our rivals......after all,he is getting paid very well for doing nothing so whats to complain about? Up until the QPR game I have been pretty encouraged about what I've seen so far but a few around me want him gone.

If I'm honest our support at home has been woeful all season.....I'm guessing that's the sterile premiership effect.

I think that game was a backward step and reminded me of our start in the premiership. Disgraceful conceding two goals from the bottom team and what was the point in hoofing the ball upto lambert when samba is 9 feet tall?

I say keep him hanging on......what's to complain about?,he's getting paid to do nothing and after all he is free to take another job if one arises,it just means he will be breaking his contract with us and we won't have to pay him.

Great news,really pleased that the boy has turned his life around and the club has recognized it and rewarded him.

Tbh I'd be sad to see him go if he does go,I like the fact that he has turned his life around and has made a real go of things and for that he deserves praise and a decent contract. Everybody deserves a second chance which is not an easy thing to do for both parties so everybody involved should be proud of themselves.......he's certainly more than taken his second chance.

I don't read the papers as they are full of sh!t from front to back.

What a load of ******,he is a professional footballer being paid vast amounts of money and he should have remained professional whatever stick he was getting......how does a few fans moaning justify being assaulted?....I'm not saying it was a major assault but if that bottle had hit a little kid of 4 or 5 (which there are a few of in the chapel) it could have been a lot worse. If he cant take a bit of stick then he shouldn't be playing football.

England will always be sh!t whilst they persist in picking players that can't even hit form with their parent clubs but regular as clockwork get picked for our national team.......if you not in the club you can't get in.

I'm with this..... Although I would love rickie to be recognized for all of his good work we would be in serious trouble if he were to get injured in a pointless proxy friendly for England.......but if he gets the nod I would be delighted and proud.
