Adkins is always going to be in the firing line whilst we are near the bottom and there is always going to be speculation but it is no different to every other clubs manager who are not doing so well.......personally I think his time is limited but this could all change at any point after a decent run of wins,but this is probably no different to most other managers in all of the leagues bar 2 or 3.......what makes us any different?

There was obviously some almighty fook up in the summer transfer window by somebody or it might of just been a case of not being able to tempt the chosen targets to join,either way somebody didn't do their homework so I would expect that they should be pulling out all the stops to rectify it in this window...... going back to the original post,I think we are competing as well as could be expected,it was never going to be all rosey and talk of pushing for Europe probably didn't help but if we survive relegation then I'm sure everybody will be happy and it will be judged as successful.

Yes I went to the bridge in the 80's and they had 12k in......they could of had the money off of me yesterday for 4 more tickets but as they made it difficult I gave up even though I was sat in a sea of empty seats.

I can see him being sold but what doesn't sit right with me is the fact that we be would selling him to what is effectively a rival relegation candidate.....what's the point in selling one of your best players to a team you are trying to finish above?

Exactly what happened to me,I wanted to buy 4 extra tickets when I purchased my 2 seats as Christmas presents but was told the same thing......when I get into the ground today every seat in my row apart from my 2 were empty and the 6 rows behind were empty so who's the bright spark who decided that I couldn't have extra tickets?

I was at the game today,and every game as I'm a season ticket holder not to mention the other 40 years I've been home and away,Europe,cup semi finals and finals,friendlies and long trips to godforsaken **** holes on a cold wet Wednesday night so I think I've earnt my right to express my views don't you? Today our support was **** and tbh it is nothing special for most home games and I'm disappointed with our fans (and that includes myself) for not putting up a good show to combat the superb Chelsea support.........it wouldn't of happened back in the. 80's that's for sure.

What the **** are you doing on this 'football' forum then?......you are right there are more important things than football but as this is a football forum it's a bit difficult to not talk about football and I give a **** because its my Fookin team.

Our support is Fookin **** Very low key today even when we were winning Nothing original and it was embarrassing to see just how crap we are at singing As for those that left with 30 minutes to go shame on you.

Never played football manager so havnt got a clue about that but what I've outlined is just a simplistic version of what I think should happen. Once a fee has been agreed with the selling club then the only problems you have to overcome is with the player/agent so the actual buying bit is easy......to me,if the selling club mess about for more than 48hrs then move on. I do count a few ex pros as friends so I do have a bit of an insight into how these things play out and I think a lot of the problems come down to the length of the transfer window itself,a month is a long time in football and in that month players get unsettled,they are left out of the squad to protect them,they refuse to play etc etc and it causes problems for clubs and also discontent with fans so I would either make the window shorter or extend it for the whole year as it was before this would ensure business is done quicker with little disruption. selling clubs tend to hold out for better deals and other offers until the last few hours. If other clubs can do deals quickly then so could we but we never do......tbh we could of done a deal to keep puncheon quickly but that hasn't even happened.
