Relying on other teams to be sh!tter than us is a dangerous game to play but it will all be a distant memory by Christmas as I think losing to WBA will be the tipping point for Adkins and we will kick on from there with another man in charge.

Just thought I'd start a ridiculous thread as it seems to be the in thing at the moment

They need a new manager to get them back to the prem and we need a couple of their players so is there a deal to be done? could it be a more dignified way of getting rid of Adkins rather than sacking him? Could it happen? Would it happen? Am I asking too many questions?

Lets just hope none of reading or QPR win tomorrow and that we get something on Monday

Personally I don't like the fact that we are a club where players and managers 'learn their trade' or 'gain prem experience',I want a club that has an experienced manager in place who has already done his training and has put in the hours in the top flight lording over a team that has a high percentage of experienced players. I'm fed up with experiments and I've had my fill of 'he's one for the future' players who never amount to much.

It seems until he gets sacked he can have as many as he likes

Any players looking to kick on in their careers need to move away from saints in January IMO and I wouldn't blame them,we are Fookin atrocious and if nothing changes between now and the end of January then we are heading straight back down again. If they have got their heads screwed on they have already lined themselves up for a decent move to a more stable club who will use them to their full strengths.

Don't bad mouth last nights starting 11 as it will be our first team next season in the championship.

We should and could be in a similar position to west ham but because we are **** we are not...crap tactics,stupid substitutions,championship standard players,clueless defence,3 different keepers and a manager who's clearly losing his marbles will cost us dear.

Agree with this,regardless of it being a lesser cup Nigel had the opportunity to continue the momentum from the second half of the spurs game which could have instilled a bit of confidence carrying us into the WBA game.

Staying in the prem is the be all and end all,have you forgotten the wilderness years the last time we got relegated?.....the parachute payment means nothing if you don't bounce straight back up and we certainly won't be doing that. If the prem has come as a shock then the championship will give us a heart attack.

The players can't cope full stop,the majority are only championship quality at best,players are playing out of position and NA's tinkering is creating more problems than it fixing. I agree that something has gone dreadfully wrong when our problems were obvious to everybody but we were in the top 2 of the championship for the majority of the season so nobody can use the excuse of promotion taking us by surprise,we had a season to prepare for the prem and not a thing was done to give us a decent chance. Last January I was calling for us to sign players in preperation for promotion,to get them bedded in early but it didn't happen.

There must come a time when somebody at the club gets an epiphany and wakes up to the reality of being in the prem. The southampton way isn't working,nor is the Barcelona way so what way should we try instead? I'm for getting down and dirty and grinding out some points with a few choice signings in January probably orchestrated by a new manager with premier league experience.

I don't agree,the players are out of their depth and are being asked to play in formations that they can't cope with,if rumours are true that there is interference preventing Nigel from playing it his way then he needs to stand up for himself and his players and do what he thinks is best......so really NA has let the players down.

Adkins has been a bad manager since last Christmas not just the last few games,he has shown that when under pressure he can't operate properly,he did get promotion but after leading the pack comfortably for the first half of the season he nearly blew it. All this 'Eric cantona' style poetry ****** is just him covering his arse because he knows he will be gone soon......I admit that it is not all his fault as he has suggested as much but you can bet your life that he will be the one blamed for the good of the club.

I could lose every week and spout a load of ****** written by other people,any chance I could have the job cortese?

I think a few of you are reading too much into our second half display,it wasn't really anything to do with our change of tactics or a rousing half time speech but more to do with spurs being tired after a midweek European trip.

I think Adkins deserves to succeed just not at this club,I think his time at the club has run its course and we need a fresh approach,his positive clap trap is starting to get on my tits if I'm honest because its not working. Time to go,time to start afresh with a new manager,some might think its harsh because of what he's achieved but you can't survive by living on past glories.

Anybody change their mind about Adkins ability to keep us up?

Boruc came with a reputation of being a 'controversial character' so NA is responsible for putting that clown in goal,not only is he an awful keeper but now he has upset the fan base but I wasn't referring to boruc being the reason for the nail in the coffin,I meant losing the game was.

Spurs only got what we gave them......we looked awful for most of that game apart from a 15-20 spell,boruc was a disgrace and its just another nail in Adkins coffin

It's been ****e for years,too nicey nicey......just like football itself,next we will all be shaking hands before starting a topic and wearing 'kick it out' t shirts.

Bale will rip us a new one regardless who starts.....but I am expecting some more bizarre decisions by whoever picks the team.
