I agree,you've got to play your strongest team and he simply isn't doing that....branfoot stubbornly used to go against the grain and leave out letissier to show who was the boss and in the end the supporters won because branfoot signed his own death warrant.....Adkins will be a fool to **** people off

It's his choice as he does see the players everyday but its like he wants to get the sack or he's trying to show he is his own man

I think that the interview was born out of 12 years of abuse,never really liked him when he was here but I have to say he showed some passion last night and rightfully so.....Leeds are a dirty scummy club with a knobhead manager,I hope they get exactly what they deserve.

I think Nicola has a few dreams,most of which cannot be achieved at this point and its raising expectations with the fans and causing discontent and adding to the pressure on Adkins......although I like NC he really should keep his dreams to himself unless he can guarantee the outcome or get a team and manager that can fulfill his dreams.

The truth is that out of the 25 man squad only a about 3 or 4 will adapt to the premier league,it's no good blaming any one player for not adapting or being good enough for the prem,they will attain a certain level and probably won't get any better,they are not going to turn around and admit they are not good enough,would you?......of course not,the person(s) responsible for not pinpointing our needs and acting on them should be held responsible for us not being prepared for the prem.

I don't know the answer but the problem is that we have leaked far too many goals in so few games that you have to view the defence as either not working or not good enough so to me that is failure. I don't know if its failure to recognise the problem or failure to attract a certain calibre of player but what we have is nowhere near good enough for the prem,clynne has potential but the rest are basically championship standard and it shows. I too want to see good ball playing defenders but not at the expense of losing games or our premiership status,they need to get tough quickly and learn but if they don't then they need to be replaced because at the moment I haven't seen anything from them that fills me with confidence.

The answer to our defensive problems is not currently at our club,we had a season to pinpoint what we needed to bring in for a premier campaign but failed and I'm guessing that we will now struggle to bring in somebody in January as clubs are reluctant to let decent players go.

You keep on bringing the past up,I acknowledge that there have been some decent rangers teams but in terms of success,not history,number of trophies or fans we are the dominant club,rangers are playing in one of the worst leagues in world football after cheating for a number of years in the Scottish prem,we however are playing in arguably the best league in the world fairly,with sound financial management. Imo If we were playing in the Scottish prem today I truly believe that our only threat to winning the league would be Celtic whereas if rangers were allowed to play in England today they would struggle to survive in the championship but hey,they would have great support.....the fact of the matter is that the Scottish prem is probably the easiest route in europe into European football.

Who said anything about L2? The Scottish prem is just as ****e,if you take out Celtic then what you have left is ****e and I dont care that rangers had 49k.....you don't win anything for having the most fans. The truth is there for everybody to see,rangers cheated and were beaten down to the bottom league and they were so 'popular' that every team in Scotland turned against them.

Not anymore they're not,they might have a worldwide fan base but the brutal facts are they are way way down the pecking order in terms of which league they play in,the Scottish premier is not even in the top 15 best supported leagues in Europe so god knows where the bottom Scottish league sits. As for the 114 trophies then my argument would be that if you put saints in the same league as Eastleigh then I'm sure we would win it nearly every season.

I agree but if it is to happen,which I don't think it ever will,then they should have no god given right to start at the top....they need us (especially rangers) more than we need them.

If rangers and Celtic want to play in the prem then they should start at the bottom and work their way up otherwise it makes a complete mockery of the game......anyway,we don't need another cheating,tax dodging,cup buying club in the league,that's pompeys job.

And their average crowd for 2012 to date is 25080......best part of 15k empty seats,not really something I would be pleased to see at st Mary's although there would be more elbow room and less queuing.

Do we really have to wait until Christmas?...I was really looking forward to a quiet one this year and now I'm going to be getting all excitable and restless about a new manager coming in.

I don't care who we have played,shipping 20 goals in 7 games is a pretty poor showing,couple that with tactical mistakes and mysterious substitute decisions and it all adds up to a bleak outlook. I'm afraid Nigel's substitutions usually turn into gifts for the opposing teams so I would say that he does get substitutions wrong.

Well if you have never seen a manager that is 'as inept as this one' then you haven't been a saints fan for long......I've seen plenty!

I think you are all missing the point with Adkins,he has been wobbling since last Christmas not just in the last few games,he did get us promoted but he nearly didn't....IMO he has been walking a fine line since about April and it wouldn't surprise me at all if NC doesn't use this 2 week break to make a change. If it does happen then it will be harsh but I wouldn't argue with it as NC makes the decisions and he hasn't made too many bad ones up until now.

He is probably not living up to NC's expectations and he's feeling the pressure. This is one we were expected to win but it never happened and so he will have to explain why,tbh trying to explain away the reasons for taking lambert and puncheon off is going to be a bit uncomfortable for him.

If they were dressed like a lap dancer then I could understand the thinking behind it.
