  1. Tbh the club is owned by a private family so they can pretty much do what they like, they don't need the fans, they don't need to tell them anything so if you are not happy with the way it's run then you have a choice.....that's the way I see it. It really is the downside of being privately owned and I'm happy with it but I can understand why some people wouldn't.
  2. Tbh I'd be happy with any manager that puts out his strongest team,is flexible in his formations, doesn't leave his best players on the bench or subs them at crucial times, that grows a set of balls and wins more games than he loses......not too much to ask for is it?
  3. We don't need a statement from the club to tell us that things are not rosey in the garden.....everybody and his dog knows that Adkins is under pressure and will most likely lose his job, that our defence is god damn awful and we should have done better in the transfer market and that somebody at the club has an unhealthy fixation with Barcelona. How about telling us something we don't know?
  4. I agree with all the stats that Canada posted and I also agree with your stuff but because we have played the top teams the players and fans are on edge so although west ham have yet to face the top teams they are at an advantage because they have gained a bit of form and the fans are united whereas our fan base is fragmented and will get restless with every mistake made and this is something you can't compute into stats.
  5. This is all well and good and I applaud you for posting it but the hard facts are we are leaking on average 3 goals per game as it stands so that means we have to score a shed load just to get something from the game and if you start with your most prolific goalscorer on the bench and play players who haven't got a great record of hitting the net then it is only going to end one way. You have to remember that even the best strikers on average in the world only manage a goal every other game so what we are expecting from ours is almost an impossibility. We are heading along a path that will lead to relegation because we are failing to gets points off of the teams who will be in the mix with us like Wigan and west ham.
  6. Never been a fan of it would always go with 4-4-2 switching to 4-5-1 or even a 3-5-2....we haven't got the players for it and I don't expect we ever will
  7. I'm not sure if he has lost the dressing room yet but it will surely only be a matter of time if we continue to lose games and leaving key players on the bench or making ridiculous substitutions that change the game in the oppositions favour.
  8. There could be a chance that changing the manager won't make the slightest bit of difference but if we do change at least we can turn around and say that NC tried to do something to keep us up.....doing nothing and stubbornly continuing along the path of no return would be the bigger crime IMO.
  9. If Adkins has to 'tow the company line' then any new manager will be expected to do the same and I just can't see any decent experienced manager agreeing to it,they are going to want zero interference.
  10. Exactly,Nigel always says in his interviews 'we will learn from our mistakes, draw a line under it and move on'......the problem is he is not learning from his mistakes, he is creating more mistakes.
  11. It's just another weird decision to add to the ever growing list of weird decisions
  12. RL causes problems,he scores,he defends,he brings other players into the game,he holds the ball,he hits a decent dead ball and he's difficult to beat in the air........in fact he's probably everything that jay rod and guly are not so if you leave him on the bench then you are not putting your strongest team out and you are not giving yourself a better percentage chance of getting something from the game. He's by no means the cause or the answers to all of our problems but to leave the fella on the bench is obviously not a footballing decision or a tactical one.......was I the only one who thought 'what the **** is this fella doing' when the teams were announced? I can guarantee that every one of you thought or did the same thing so we can't all be wrong can we? Adkins is a dead man walking and he knows it.
  13. http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896/premier-league/2012/10/20/3465581/adkins-i-dont-know-how-long-i-have-left-at-southampton
  14. Football is all about winning and striving to play in the best league in the world but now we are here there are loads of you who are saying they don't mind going down, sticking with a manager that is clearly struggling. I for one don't want us to go down and I was praying that NA could get it right but there has to come a cutoff point when we say enough is enough,Unless NC is happy for us to go straight back down (which I can't imagine he is as he seems like a very ambitious fella) then he has to bite the bullet and realise that it's not working and employ new tactics,if this involves a change of manager/coach then so be it. The likes of Ferguson and wenger are the exception, for the rest of the 96 clubs in the leagues the reality is a ride on the managerial merry go round,a lot of you may not like it but tough,we are not special,we are just like the majority of the other teams in the league and have a need to change the manager when required. Me,I don't really give a rats arse who the manager is as long as we win more games than we lose and play some nice football that is worth forking out to watch but it seems that a lot of you are stubbornly willing to accept the inevitable without even giving ourselves a fighting chance. If there is to be a change of manager (which I am certain will happen sooner than expected) then I think NC will want to do it before the transfer window so the new man gets a chance to buy/loan the ammunition to do the job of keeping us in this league. NC is not a fool,IMO he will not allow Adkins to take us down,he knows that it would be a financial disaster and his job is to maximise the investment of the liebherr family not to stand by and blindly stick with a manager and formation that is badly struggling to compete against a team that we brushed aside in the championship. Yesterday the contrast between how far both teams have come since promotion was glaringly embarrassing,Adkins must know that and you bet your life that NC knows that so if nothing is done to rectify it before the next game then I'm sure that all of you 'I don't care if we get relegated' brigade will probably get your wish.
  15. Bale to rip us a new one
  16. Any manager who sticks to one formation regardless of the opposition is a fool IMO and deserves exactly what he gets
  17. I think I eluded to this a few weeks ago when I spoke to billy sharp (cant be bothered to dig out the thread) but it was obvious to me after speaking to him that Adkins was a bit of a puppet and will probably end up as the fall guy
  18. Because NC hasn't got his coaching badges?
  19. It's written for redknapps return this week to come in and turn spurs over.....motd will love it.
  20. Redknapp for me,I think a lot of you have to remember that just 6 short months ago he was the popular choice for England manager by a long shot so are you saying he's not good enough for us?.....forget about the Pompey thing, forget about his last spell but look forward and think who would have the best chance of keeping us in the prem, redknapp certainly has the best qualifications out of the available managers around.
  21. Thanks for the memories Nigel but its time up I'm afraid.
  22. Championship team playing with the big boys = relegation
  23. His actions will be hard to defend after this game
  24. This is the games we should be getting points from,no more excuses about having a bad start,Adkins is a ****ing liability and his tactics are ****e......that's if his tactics are actually his tactics of course?.....like Sam said the other day, this game is a 6 pointer and we are losing those points.
