If you don't want a response don't quote my posts with patronising 'I know better than you' drivel. There is a long list of bell ends on here in that mold, don't add yourself to the list.

A bit ealry?.....a bit ealry to be on the sauce I'd say Knob

I would say that you are pretty clueless as Morgan maintained the pressure for the full game and was our best player,I have no doubts that if puncheon and lallana had stayed on we would of at least gained a point,I also don't think that lamberts game burned up as much energy as the others so wouldn't have been as knackered as somebody like Morgan or puncheon. My argument is that Adkins made 3 wrong choices,he took off 3 of the players who were causing united problems and replaced them with rubbish which did nothing but invite more pressure on us. Lambert had the beating of rio, lallana and puncheon were terrifying the life out of the defence with their trickery and pace then the subs came on and guly got dragged back into places where he shouldn't of been, the new lad didn't win a thing against rio and Rodriguez just looks like a round peg in a square hole. Adkins may not have had a lot to choose from on the bench but what he did have he didn't use effectively or they weren't capable of carrying out the duty they were assigned to do.

Billy Sharp - Joins Notts Forest on Season Long Loan
lordswoodsaints replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
Not really sure CB to be honest,he didn't really get into the nitty gritty but what I can gather is it wasn't Adkins choice to let him go,how it came about or how the news was broken to him wasn't disclosed. -

I can guarantee it is from the horses mouth,I have no reason to lie and frankly I don't give a rats arse if you don't believe me. I'm gutted he's gone and if what he says is true then it is a significant insight into the workings of the club and the relationship between chairman and manager good or bad. -
Billy Sharp - Joins Notts Forest on Season Long Loan

Spoke to billy today,he's not happy about going to forest,Adkins wanted to keep him but NC told him he didn't fit in with his plans,he can be recalled after the January transfer window but doesn't hold too much hope. Just I thought you all might be interested. -
If they are fit then they should be able to last 90+ minutes regardless who they are playing, why bring them off and replace them with Rodriguez, who clearly looks and plays like he's demoralised, guly who been on the **** and got caught drink driving and the new fella who looked way out of his depth. I love what Adkins has done for this club but he got it badly wrong, there is no boo hoo about it........he didn't make one bad sub he made 3 and it cost us 3 precious points. I can accept one bad decision but not 3.

Exactly, why are we talking about players not being fit 3 or 4 games in....what have they been doing all summer? It seems to me that the club have failed in their preparations for the premier league, they must of known what to expect but they just don't seem ready,on the most part they have played well but I think they are trying to run before they can walk, the formation seems awkward, the fitness levels are not up to scratch and players are not fitting in. Ok,I accept it is going to be a steep learning curve for them but surely this should have been taken into account when preparing for the new season. If we have got little or no points by the end of October then with regret I would be disappointed if Adkins was still here tbh, that was the weakest Manu team I have seen for a long long time and he had the chance to put that game to bed and he blew it,same with the upcoming arsenal game, they are weak and in a transitional period and we won't get a better opportunity to take points of off them,ok they beat Liverpool at the weekend but Liverpool are even weaker than us IMO so I expect to take them for some points as well.....it is going to be a wide open premiership this season and we need to take advantage of that .
-
Tbh honest if the team is not fit enough to last 90 minutes then I want to know why, when strachan was manager he had the team fit enough to last a game and a half and I don't remember losing too many games in the last 15 minutes whilst he was in charge, the players were running around for the whole game not just 3 quarters of it. The truth is the that Adkins ****ed up with the subs, they should never of happened,Ferdinand couldn't handle lambert and lallana and puncheon were scaring the life out of them, then Adkins decided to bring on 3 players who looked well out of their depth and didn't have a clue. It was bad management and if he continues to make bad management mistakes then that will eventually lead to his departure,if he learns from those mistakes then he will become a great manager but he has to learn fast.

Our season started the same weekend as everybody else,we just weren't prepared for it. No good making excuses, everybody has to play everybody else at some point during the season and every game is going to be difficult.....if we had man city,Wigan, manu and arsenal the last four games of the season would you say our season ends 4 weeks before everybody else?
-
I did think myself when the news broke a few days ago,his age doesn't fit with our supposed transfer policy at the moment and he will only be a bit part player as his prime is well behind him so I think he will be brought in to bring something else to the table, perhaps a coaching role or manager in waiting.

J rod diamond in the waiting or the new Steve de ridder?
lordswoodsaints replied to Mr X's topic in The Saints
If he continues to be played on the wing then it is a waste of money,we should of actually bought a player that is used to playing there, the boy looks miserable in the photo on the side of st Mary's and he looks miserable when he comes on,I bet he wishes he was back up north and had never signed. -
Saints 2 Man United 3 - Post Match Reactions
lordswoodsaints replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
Why are people talking about the January transfer window already? We had our chance to get the squad we wanted and didn't take it,left too late again by the looks of it. Between now and January is a long time and it could be way too late by then.....unless we are offloading players in preperation for life in the championship. -
Saints 2 Man United 3 - Post Match Reactions

We played very well for most of the game, but our weaknesses really showed towards the end and the subs that Adkins made did nothing but put pressure on us,if they were to counter the subs that Manu made then it backfired, they were ****e.....the new lad was awful, looked like a dazed baby giraffe,Rodriguez doesn't fit where they want him to play and he must be wondering what the **** he is doing here, guly looked his usual self. Adkins made the mistake of taking off 3 players who were causing problems and replacing them with nobodies,if he took them off for fitness reasons then I for one want to know why they are not fit,if they were taken off for tactical reasons then Adkins needs to go back to football school because that was an awful decision. We are the new Blackburn, play well but end up with nothing. -
Jason Puncheon "does not cut the mustard" for me
lordswoodsaints replied to Miltonroader07's topic in The Saints
For me he was superb today, only second behind morgan for motm. -
For them obviously rvp but for us Morgan by a country mile
-
Had half a dozen near me in the kingsland chapel corner but they were all teenage kids who kept quiet and didn't cause any problems so no need to kick up a fuss about them.
-
Are you dia in disguise Looked well out of his depth and was a bad choice of substitution by Adkins, the game was too highly charged to bring him on IMO
-
If Adkins wants to shut the press up for a while then the best reply is to beat Manu today and then get something from the arsenal game. Although both very good teams they are both in a transitional state at the moment so are ripe for a beating, the press won't like it but at least they will stop writing crap about us for a bit.

Tbh I hold no malice towards redknapp for his Pompey connections or his previous time at saints as I hold Lowe to account for all of our previous problems and the skate thing doesn't bother me.some of you need to grow up and stop throwing your season tickets out of your pram. Let's start by saying I don't believe the story but the facts are if NA doesn't start to get results then he will be replaced,it doesn't matter if our first few games are are against man city, manu, arsenal etc all games are going to be just as difficult because the prem mentality is at every club and that is to stay in the premiership and we've got to do the same. I think that Adkins is great and is a breathe of fresh air but that means nothing if we lose every game and get relegated, cortese has a plan and he has shown that he will do whatever it takes to keep that plan on course no matter how unpopular his decisions.......just look at pardew getting the boot and to a certain degree moving sharp on. I like redknapp,he will get results, his man management is second to none but I'm not sure it's what we need if Adkins was shown the door but if it did happen I would welcome it and I think a lot of you 'I'm not going going if redknapp returns' brigade will look a bit silly if Harry does return and propels us up the league. Perhaps as suggested on another thread, the club has been sold or is in the shop window and the liebherrs want to make it attractive as possible for potential buyers, and redknapp is certainly more marketable than Adkins. Perhaps gaston is our departing present from the family.....who knows? Personally I think it's just a bit of stirring from the media as they don't get much gossip from the clubs tight lips policy, they know Harry has a loose chin so would prefer it if he was in the hotseat so they could get their stories.
-
Unless you are one of about 6 clubs then the media/press are not really interested or knowledgable enough to form a decent debate about how good or bad we are,it's just the way it is. Everybody else outside the big guns is 'plucky little (add team here)','lowly' or 'underdogs'.....when Ramirez signed there was a lot of negativity and little air time for us and him but if he had signed for one of the big boys the media would be all over it,drooling about what a bargain he is and how he will do great things in the prem. I gave up reading newspapers a long time ago as they are basically bull****,half truths and twisted views....no matter what we achieve we will never be the darlings of the media whilst the likes of Merson, lawrenson and all the other out of touch, lazy dinosaurs are allowed to spout their bile.
-
They don't seem too impressed about him on talk sport which is a bit strange, they seem surprised about his price tag and said Uruguay were awful in the Olympics so we couldn't of based our decision to buy him on his Olympic performance.
-
I'm guessing that QPR could be the next Pompey if they carry on paying silly money to average/crap players and stockpiling them.
-
We've got no chance of signing Robert green......for a start he's not a forward!
-
If they randomly picked the front runners on the Internet even though I'd been logged in since 5.45 surely they should go along the physical queue outside st Mary's and randomly pick out people to go to the front even though the people at the front have been waiting the longest? What a fookin shambles,I should have just woken up at 8.59 and logged in.
