Tbh, I'm neither surprised, no disappointed. There's still plenty of time left, until the new season, and I seem to remember that Rickie Lambert wasn't secured until one game had passed by, last time. However, there has been a lot of investment in the club, mid season in the 1st team, the backroom staff, the infrastructure, the facilities, etc..., so the expectation is there. If Saints want to make sure, and blitz League One, this season, so that there is no doubt, then they'll have to strengthen before the transfer window closes.

Believe me, I'm the best of the bunch..!

Anyway, off up that wooden hill. Time for Tales From The Mausoleum Club.

Don't knock it 'til you've tried it.

There's a bit of echo on the original track. Try playing them ever-so-slightly out of sync and get a concert-hall effect.

As a moderator, I cannot run to every little piffling bit of information posted here or there. You may learn that one day, when I suggest YOU come on board. My time is of the gravest shortage. I hope that helps, without offence.

Ah, the kindred spirit, eh..? BTW: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=amnjZtNDKqk&feature=fvw

Well thanks for the belated f**king nod in the right direction. Much appreciated.

If I said Dude, and meant it, I'd need a sickbag to throw up in.

Read it. Bugger all info, and I took the p!ss out of Chez when he provided some. OK, NickG has some from Wiki.

My excuse to say Dude. After all, you mentioned Mott The Hoople.

Poor attempt, although nice. And I thought you were going to give me an obvious James Brown track like: Get On Up

That was my first ever try at NOT going to Google and popping the bloke's name into the browser, so as to come up with all, and more than all, of the information I require. I was hoping to see an avalanche of helpful info from interested TSW members... Sometimes, I can't be bothered to read the entire thread, as you well know.

Suggest away..!

I can't see the connection, dude. Does it have a connection..?

Great single. Stumbled over it again, while looking for something from the Isley Brothers Sly and the Family Stone - Family Affair If anyone has a funkier voice than Sly Stewart then I've yet to hear it.

I thought I was doing well for 1.30am. Perhaps someone can bring me upto speed on Dedryck Boyata..?

Electric Light Orchestra..? Pah..! No, they were OK. They certainly were a part of going to The Cowherds pub. It was Art For Art's Sake [10CC] and Living Thing, as I remember, that was forever on that bloody jukebox. Of course, I never selected those tracks, having an appreciation of a rather more heightened expression of musical flavours, by then. Woody has his own website.

Presumably, they have a fight club sub-section. Sorry, couldn't resist.

One of those bands who I used to occasionally buy singles and nothing else from were The Move. Truth is, I've always had a soft spot for anything Roy Wood was involved in, because he was a pop record writing master, and because he was a rocking bugger too. He's probably most famous, to many people, for Wizzard, but his bands were so much more than that. They were laced with upbeat, progressive pop numbers, with a hint of humour, and as catchy as hell. From The Move, I love Fire Brigade, Blackberry Way, but my favourite is Brontosaurus. Have a go:

This seems to affect individual users, and it is perhaps more to do with their browser type/version/settings/screen resolution, than anything else. From my screen, every user has a perfectly good setup.

That may well be true, but I think when one refers to the foremost London in the world, one shouldn't need to bother with the nationality. One obvious example is Paris. Bother when referring to Paris, Texas, but don't bother when refering to Paris, you know where I mean. On the subject of England, I was watching one of those 5 minute interviews, on the BBC News website. Sadly, I can't remember who it was who made the observation, but it was said that right up to the early 20th century, the whole of the UK, as we look back to it then, was more often referred to as England. So how about that..? Perhaps I should cut the U.S. commentators some slack. They trip themselves up on plenty of other issues, anyhow.

Comment from a 606er - " ...no way is Capello's team of wannabees the seventh best in the land..." Well they might be. Behind ManU, Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City, Spurs, Aston Villa..?
