You could be right there. My brothers have a VW Campervan each. One has a T25/T3 and the other has a T4. I'm the one with the bike, plus I do a fair bit of sailing. Funnily enough, I'm probably one of the most acknowledged people I know, as fellow bikers nod at me, or wiggle a leg, as they go in the opposite direction; VW Campervan owners wave at me when I'm driving the Transporters [i'm insured on them too]; and cruise liner and ferry boat passengers positively wave themselves to the point of exhaustion in order to get a wee reply from our sailing boat.

I've always said it, I like Bart, and I think he's a bloody good keeper. If Kelvin gets injured I never have any fears at all when Bart takes over.

I feel like I'm treading in Dog infested areas when I go somewhere like LiveLeak. But I do know he'd never bother looking for this. For those who are committed to four wheels.. this'll give you an inkling of what it's really like: Bikes in Slo-Mo at the 2010 Isle of Man TT

So nobody saw it..? I haven't commented before, because I thought I'd let someone else do it. It wasn't anything to write home about, but I take it nobody noticed Clarkson's little quip about anagrams on the registration number plates of the cars they were driving, while doing the little tearful bit on British roadsters. Bit naughty for a family programme, I thought. But I still laughed. Mind you, the swearing cat is definitely out of the bag, on TV, nowadays. Jeff Goldblum gets freakier and more out-of-sight every time I see him interviewed.

It's a sobering thought, and one that should be borne in mind for the coming season. But as AP has said, they'll take it game by game, and I think that's the best approach. Everybody else is making them favourites, not themselves. Well, one bloke isn't.

Hmm, not sure. But I have this strange desire to go off and listen to a few James Brown records.

Yep, there's no way De Puniet will ever actually get a factory ride, but others like Dovizioso have shown his type of form and gone straight in, after the rookie season. I think everyone loves the way Randy wrings the bloody neck of his Playboy RC212V, and then some..! There's nothing like seeing that Honda squirming about and wriggling itself almost into a tank slapper, while De Puniet just guns it or forces it to find any aggressive line into a bend. He's like Stoner on steroids in his riding style. It sometimes slows him down, of course, because he's trying so damn hard, but when he gets it right, he's properly fast. Yeah, I'm a fan too.

Oh we've been favouites many times before. To be relegated, that is. This is a nice change. Note the author of the article and this..!

He may have acted alone, but don't run away with the idea that he doesn't have support from fellow mods.

Just listened to it on the BBC iplayer. It was about 5 minutes long and he didn't say much. But he did say he'd found the right club for himself in Southampton, with more ambition than most Championship clubs. He really is thankful to his former Bristol City manager and esspecially to AP for sorting him out finally, because he'd lost his way at one of his previous clubs, Stockport County. He's confident we can do the business this season, and then next, who knows..? I'll tell you Rickie... The City of Southampton expects..!

As usual. 5 minutes too late. I'll listen to the iplayer catch-up a little later.

Technical question. I'll move this to the Technology Chat forum, where you might get a helpful answer.

But that's rather more of the De Puniet of previous seasons. This season he was the top privateer, finishing every race, and actually knocking on the door of a factory ride. He may be a little crazy with his lines, but he's quick and his team bloody well love him. The fans want him to get well ASAP, as does he, of course.

Indeed. Last season, he was consulted by the Football League on how to get the FL finances under better control. He got quite involved and gave them quite a bit of advice apparently [it's in a Radio Solent interview somewhere] and they acccepted it, as he's considered the financial expert amongst the FL Chairmen.
